"The thought process is to try to put ourselves in the mix to add a big player via trade," Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough said, referring to stature not size. "We want to be aggressive and active. We want to solidify ourselves as a playoff team. The flexibility would allow us more wiggle room to make a trade."

The Suns will be in position to trade a draft pick and absorb a player's contract or deal for one more player than they send out.
Go Suns!

Yep, just added flexibility. I wonder what players they have in mind...

Big name, still in his 20s. Cousins isn't on the market. I have no clue.

... It'll cost us Ennis, won't it?

... ... Please, not TJ, too.

What the heck is going on here? All that complaining about trade speculation, then the Suns dump Tolliver, and now suddenly it's time for trade speculation?

Well Tolliver, it was a good run. Mitchell, we hardly knew ye.

I like the cap space, I worry about the targets though, I mean what really is available right now? No way wed move for a guy like Melo would we?

Well, I hope if we make a move, he IS big in size as well as stature. We sure don't need any more frickin' guards!

Ha sorry guys, was on the bus home when the news broke and didn't read everything through.

Wonder who the suns have in mind who are available and would make an impact.

Maybe the trade talk by McD is a smokescreen and we just wanted to get rid of the guy.

In play for us? Doesn't make much sense. He's very available, but that's no secret.

I'm not sure why we would want Jeff Green when we have the Morrii. Green seems too similar to them to me; kind of a tweener forward with decent athleticism who isn't a stellar rebounder or defender. I don't think he really brings much new to our team.

Right, plus he makes a lot of money, plus he's just as inconsistent.

The Suns are open to trades but not just for short-term gain.

"We'll stay consistent with our approach and philosophy," McDonough said. "We have a good core of guys in their early 20s and mid-20s and they have us in the playoff hunt. It'd be something in that range that could help us this year and then grow with us."

i was about to post that the suns need to try to get oneal. suns only have one inside operator/post player, markieff. the suns need to add to that. sign jermaine to a one year deal. of course he will come only if he thinks the suns are a playoff bound team.

and the suns will be able to keep goran IF they are a playoff team this year.

We'd have to trade Dragic for Pau Gasol to appease Bledsoe.

Nope. Tristan Thompson.
