Twitter Woj says that Josh Smith is officially choosing to sign with the Rockets. Interesting, though expected. I think he's still a good player and will help him, much like Rondo will help Dallas. The West keeps getting stronger.

Andy Varejao is out for the year with a torn achilles. Tough break for the Cavs, but with his history of injuries not entirely unexpected. Not sure why they extended him for 3 years a little while ago.

Maybe Cleveland really is cursed. Does anybody think they will even make it to the Finals this year, much less win the title? It may be a few years before they are close to contention.

zach lowe is confident that the season is over for Nawlins and PHX. OKC will get the 8th seed. but he is wrong because dallas will fall out of the playoffs because of the rondo trade. carlisle is forced to start him everygame and rondo screws up their spacing.

if i have to choose between the two, the suns will get the final spot in the playoffs over nahwlins.

With the Pels taking out San Antonio tonight we're only 1 and 1/2 games from catching them for 7th and also only 1/2 a game up on the Pels in that 8th spot. I have a feeling we'll be fighting for that spot for the next 3 and 1/2 months.
