What is that traffic cone in reference to? And the kid with Tatum?
Re: Suns News: Week 1 (10/17/22 - 10/23/22)
What the hell is your problem with Gambo? All you do is bitch about the dude. He usually has good information and you can’t seem to look past your hatred of him. He has been here a long time and does have a lot of local connections.
Re: Suns News: Week 1 (10/17/22 - 10/23/22)
Thanks. That’s interesting. That kid with Tatum looks Asian…

I think the Suns will be just fine. I understand those other teams have healthy bodies now, but I like the fact that there's no attention on this team. Not having expectations to go deep in the playoffs this year might be a blessing in disguise. I think the Suns bench is fine, just maybe need time to develop chemistry. I understand an older CP is a concern, that's why we've seen Bridges and others initiate the offense more in preseason. If healthy I expect the Suns to finish top four in the West.djy2j wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 3:14 pmI am still kinda worried about this team in general. Lots of healthy-ish bodies in the west now, offseason turmoil with both Ayton, then Sarver, then Jae, and now maybe an awkwardness with Cam, CP a year older, bench a little thinner, tough schedule to start. I really won't be surprised if they go something like 1-4 or 1-5 to start. I hope to be wrong.
Can't wait for tomorrow night. GO SUNS !!

What it comes down to is - if the Suns stay healthy they'll have a record near or at the top of the conference.
All these predictions are based on players like Kawhi Leonard, Lebron James, Anthony Davis, Jamal Murray, Kevin Porter Jr., Zion Williamson, Klay Thompson, Paul George, etc. staying healthy. And chances are quite a few of them will miss a big chunk of the year as well as some others.
If the Suns don't stay healthy, well, you can't expect to finish with the top seed or win a title if you're not healthy.

I think Jones deserves all the criticism. We arguably got worse roster wise when every other contending team improved. Whether that’s due to ownership or Durant or what it doesn’t change that we are top heavy and relying on Payne to bounce back, an older Paul, an one or two of these random bench guys to pan out when odds are they won’t.
Go Suns!

Sure, every top team will not be a contender if they lose their best player. The difference with us is we’re not even well positioned if we lose our 4th or 5th best player. The Bobster wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 7:50 pmWhat it comes down to is - if the Suns stay healthy they'll have a record near or at the top of the conference.

As far as other teams in the west, they have returning superstar, all-star players coming back from their respective injuries.carey wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 9:34 pmI think Jones deserves all the criticism. Whose roster is that much better ? From top to bottom ?
Clippers ? Kawhi & Paul are back. Wall was a great pickup. I'll give you that.
Lakers ? Pat Beverly, that's it. This team is smaller than the Suns up front.
Nuggets ? Murray & Porter Jr are back. Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith are good additions.
Pelicans ? Zion is back and looks to be in shape. Otherwise it's the same squad from last year.
The Grizz ? Kyle Anderson is gone, they brought in Danny Green. Otherwise, same squad.
The T-Wolves ? Now here's the team that will be under the microscope. The Gobert trade was huge. They brought in Austin Rivers, Kyle Anderson, and Bryn Forbes (champ w/ the Bucks).
Blazers ? Lillard is back. He'll have to redevelop chemistry with Jerami Grant. Gary Payton ll was a good pickup.
Mavs ? The team that broke our hearts last season ? They added Christian Wood and Javale. Brunson is gone, but Hardaway Jr. is back.
The Champs ? Well, you have to respect them. They lost Payton ll, Otto Porter Jr, Lee, Bjelica, and Toscano-Anderson. They added DiVincenzo (champ w/ the Bucks) and JaMychal Green. Wiseman is back from injury; he gives them more athleticism up front. They're not as deep as they were a year ago, but their offensive firepower is so potent it might not matter.
Did I miss any other major team out west ? I'm not trying to disrespect any other squad. But, is there that much to worry about ?
Clippers, the Grizz, and champion Warriors pose as threats to the Suns.
Thoughts?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I think the Nuggets are legitimate contenders if Murray and Porter Jr are healthy for most of the season.

tbf I only bitch about him when you bring him up as a legitimate source. He is a sports radio guy that gets paid to sell commercials and rile people up. He isn't a reporter and has no journalistic integrity.SunsRIt wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 5:25 pmWhat the hell is your problem with Gambo? All you do is bitch about the dude. In your opinion. He was a newspaper reporter before he was on the radio.Indy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 8:02 amtbf I only bitch about him when you bring him up as a legitimate source. I am not sure what I said was opinion vs fact. It has been, what, 30 years since he wasn't a radio guy?

Why is being a radio host such a looked-down-upon profession that it has to be referred to as a "radio guy"? And who says he can't be a "radio guy" and a reporter at the same time. He has enough journalistic integrity to not just make up sources.
