What if we went after Brandan Wright? The Celtics are shipping him and he would be a good bench big man at a decent price.

We need to be setting our sights much lower. We've got a decent big rotation in Len, Keef and Plumlee, and we're not desperate for another rotation player. It would be nice to have better insurance behind them than Shav Randolph, but we don't need Wright for that.

Aside from making a big trade, I'm not sure what other teams bit parts could really change us for the better. Wright might be an upgrade to Plumlee and Shav, but at what cost?

Plum and Marcus have been doing well as our back-up bigs. And they're free, which is nice.

Paul Coro won't let an unseemly display of immaturity and lack of professionalism derail the Morris Twins Love Train:
There is a difference between animosity and anger.

Marcus Morris' outburst toward Hornacek during the third quarter of Wednesday's win at Minnesota was about his anger over an official's no-call after he said he was hit and bleeding from the nose. He turned on Hornacek because the coach calmly did not agree with him getting a technical for arguing.

Morris' relationship with the coach he calls "H" made him comfortable enough to argue but it was not the intended disrespect or acrimony that came across to viewers.

Immediately after the game, Morris apologized to Hornacek first and then the team, addressing younger players specifically.

"It seemed like it was worse than it really was," Morris said. "I don't care what people think. I know what kind of relationship I have with my team and my coaches.

Horatio Cane is on the coaching staff?

This is the same guy who said he felt "disrespected" when the coaching staff told him to work on his defense last year.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

I don't know if he used the right word there, but he said he took offense and worked harder on his defense. Isn't that what you want from a guy?

And above all, he has done it. They need to cut down the techs anyway.

Yes, he defense has improved. I'll give him credit for that.

My point was that when he was told he needed to improve, he was offended first. This is not some established vet with a solid body of work who is told to work harder; he's young player told about a weakness and his first reaction was to push back.

Hornacek may say everything is fine and all is peaches. But you better believe he'll remember who blew up at him during a game, on a game that had a national feed.

The Wright stuff:
"I play with a lot of speed and I like to attack angles," Wright said. "I can play above the rim and block shots. I can play in the pick-and-roll. I get up and down the court. All the fun stuff in basketball that you like to see, that's what I can do."

"I look at this as a great opportunity," Wright said. "It's a great fit for style. I think I'm a perfect fit. Hopefully, I can be another weapon for the arsenal.

"I do roll (on screens) and you can suck in a lot of (defensive) help. I do envision that being similar to what I did in Dallas. But this team is a lot more athletic and youthful."

"It's always good to be wanted," Wright said before walking through plays with some Suns on Friday evening. "Dallas was an outstanding fit for me but this is even better."
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I found this very interesting -

"The new group featuring [Hank] Aaron and his partners is the second known consortium with certifiable interest in buying the Hawks. NBA.com and Bloomberg.com reported earlier this week that former NBA stars Grant Hill and Junior Bridgeman ‎have teamed with USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo and son Bryan Colangelo, two-time NBA Executive of the Year, to form a group that also will be bidding on the team."
