I love that the Mavs are a total mess. Wouldn't it be amazing if Kyrie just up and left, leaving them with nothing to show for their big trade. I don't think he'd come here, more likely to the Lakers or Clips I'd guess?

More trouble in Dallas. They've just lost to the Hornets twice this weekend (!) and are currently out of the play-in in the standings.

I’m really intrigued by Naz Reid in the offseason if we trade Ayton for a pg or wing depth. He’s kinda been the best 5 in Minny this year, which is kinda crazy.

I also really like Naz Reid. He's not super mobile, but he's really smart and can shoot the 3.

There are some creative ways to open up the cap space if Ayton is traded and Paul is waived, but it would certainly be tricky to pull off. If I were his agent, I'd be sending every team who wants to sign him a copy of Ayton's contract. I don't think Reid is a max player, but if someone is willing to offer a role playing Center the max last summer, why not this summer as well?

I watched their game last night and they were awful. After the Pacers tonight (which Luka will miss through suspension) they have a pretty tough run-in too

I wouldn't count those chickens quite yet. The Pacers want to be in the lottery and the Mavs have kind of been better with Kyrie alone than with both he and Doncic together.

I'm actually hoping they make the play-in and go down in flames for everyone to watch.

Haha, fair! I guess the point I was making was that after the Pacers which they should win without Doncic, they have the Sixers, Heat, Hawks, Bulls and Spurs. I could be wrong but I just don't see them winning many of those games.
