Also the Shaq co-led Heat. That 05-06 team would have destroyed Miami in the finals.LazarusLong wrote:Walk was one the franchises' better offensive centers.
Boris Diaw was fairly effective at center when he played there. Short sample, I know. But he was so unconventional it baffled some teams, such as the Yao-led Rockets.

As far as true centers go, RoLo was solidly average and everything we needed next to Amare in 09-10. Len's already shown more than him overall however.
With regards to the topic, I think Love is a max player. He's been marginalized on that Cleveland team because they don't have smart players. I also don't think Blatt is doing enough to play thru Love. The Spurs have shown you can run and shoot for the better part of the game, but in winning time, they play thru Duncan down low.
So, I think he is a max player who's been on bad teams in Minny and isn't being utilized correctly in Cleveland. It's always funny when I read so and so isn't a winner or a max player...until they win. Remember, Dirk was soft and couldn't win the big games, KG in Minny couldn't make the big shots and shied away from the big moments, Pau was soft and wasn't a franchise player in Memphis. Sure enough, put the right team around them and all of sudden, KG is a warrior and a true winner and Dirk/Pau are two of the best bigs to ever play.

unlike KG, pau who immediately found success once they moved to another team, love has yet to find it playing with lebron.ShelC wrote:As far as true centers go, RoLo was solidly average and everything we needed next to Amare in 09-10. Len's already shown more than him overall however.

It's almost as though different players' situations were different.SDC wrote:unlike KG, pau who immediately found success once they moved to another team, love has yet to find it playing with lebron.

http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf ... _ke_1.html"I think that we will figure it out here, so I don't plan on opting out or any of that," Love told NEOMG. "I plan on being here. As far as leaving my options open, I mean sure, it's always there. At the end of the day, it's always good to have something but no, I plan on being here."
By picking up his $16.7 million player option for 2015-16, Love, 26, would stay with the Cavs until at least the summer of 2016. That would allow him to sign a new contract just in time to tap into the expected spike in television revenue before the 2016-17 season.
Love says he's committed to the Cavaliers organization and stressed that while he's still trying to find his niche with the team, it will have no bearing on his future arrangements.
"I've said all along that I plan on being a Cavalier long-term," Love said without hesitation. "As we continue to evolve, my role will continue to evolve. It's still a process where I'm figuring it out."
I'm pretty sure Love is going to be getting a call from his agent after making those comments.

Ah, so that's what Blatt meant by him not being a max player yet. KLove's getting his big new contract in 2016, not this year like Irving.

Nah, Love is too easy. Rich likes a challenge.Superbone wrote:He needs to get in touch with your avatar likeness.INFORMER wrote: I'm pretty sure Love is going to be getting a call from his agent after making those comments.
