Something bothering me with Ross is that he's a guy we pursued with Monty and Ishbia as a buyout candidate and now he's not playing. Not a great look. So is it Ross not fitting in or looking worthwhile in practice? Is his defense that bad?

That's too important an opportunity to miss on adding a veteran for a postseason push. And while the obvious thing is to look at Monty and wonder why he's not playing him, is it also on the FO that added him over someone else? Ross, on paper, was a better option over guys like Barton and Holiday because of his ability to score and create some offense. But that's all moot if the coach won't play him. Did the FO scouts/personnel people have any concerns with his game and defense coming over here?
Kind of reminds me of when we had Jalen Rose and didn't play him.

Well, we've got to lick our wounds and come home and take care of business. We do that and go back to Denver 2-2 and I'll feel much better. If we don't...

Jalen Rose sucked then. I’m not sure about Ross.

Ross has been noticeably bad on defense. Not only does he get lost and let his man blow by him, he's also committed stupid fouls. He's a real minus on that end. Some other guys like Lee are also bad defenders, but I don't think Lee fouls as much. And Ross's shooting has been solid but not so excellent as to get him playing time. I also think Ross has shown some questionable shot selection, jacking up 3s when he wasn't open. Overall he seemed to be more of a net negative in most of the games I've seen him in.

This exactly. I think people are calling for Ross because nothing else is working off the bench.

People are calling for Ross and TJ because they recognize their names and they aren't Landry Shamet.

The truth is that everyone on the bench is mediocre at best and anytime one of them underperforms it's clearly Monty's fault because he should've played the other guy I saw last play well 2+ years ago.

Can anyone explain why Monty shot 2-23 from 3-point range last game? Because besides Booker, that shit is on everyone but Monty.

His career as an everyday starter should be finished.

Paul is out for probably the rest of the series. I have to say, I don't think the heavy minutes helped.

We'll never know. Could have been even more likely in less minutes as he's less warm. Always fun to blame it on Monty though.

Suns still favored in game 3…that surprises me

It doesn't surprise me from an odds making perspective. It's a must win game at home.

However, only going down 0.5 points in favor of the Nuggets after Paul's injury announcement is a bit surprising, but maybe the bookmakers wisely already factored it in.

Too bad none of us ever came up with the idea of picking up another quality point guard sometime over the last two seasons.....

Ugh…is there a bigger what if? In my lifetime it’s what if Sarver gave JJ the extra 5 million, what if James Jones drafted Tyrese Haliburton, and what if golden state didn’t back out of trading us the 7th pick for Amare. Maybe also what if Marion didn’t stop the KG trade. What if Amare and Diaw weren’t suspended…ok there’s a lot

Let's be real. The biggest "what if" is using the only #1 pick in franchise history on the wrong player.
