Well that's not a nice thing to say.
Re: 2023 Playoffs: The NBA Finals News Thread
They had outscored us by 16 through 4 games. They’ve outscored Miami by 36.
Ultimately they outscored us by 57 in the 6 game series which is an average of 9.25 per game.
They’ve outscored Miami by 9.0 per game and are favored by 9.5 tonight.
Ya game 6 was rough, but Miami isn’t doing better against Denver than we did. They won 1 game by 3 and have lost by 11, 13, and 15. We lost by 10, 16, 18, and 25. Won by 7 and 5.
They only outscored the Lakers by 24 points combined in all 4 games.
They outscored the wolves by 44(29 in game 1).

That's what I was just talking about, and even MPJ knows it--our lack of mental toughness is why we've never won a championship.

#1 on that list is DA
Unfortunately the conglomerate of Bridges, Johnson, Shamet, Payne, Paul, Craig and Co also fall into that category.
Monty Williams is also top of that list.
We need more assholes. More alphas. 1-2 more players that have unbreakable confidence and toughness. Book can’t be our only asshole, he wears down
Re: 2023 Playoffs: The NBA Finals News Thread
I wasn't talking about just this team--the problem goes back to at least the 90s. And a lot of that starts with the coaching. Monty used to preach resilence and it seemed like we actually had it under him--until the Milwaukee series. After that, it was never the same.

Why, those bastards! I want to wipe those grins off their faces.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Hold on a second... I'm calling BS on that.
You're telling me they expected a more competitive game against a team in which they only needed to defend two players?

Of course. Even I expected, without Ayton and with Monty coaching, a more competitive game than that.

I really love watching the finals this year. I miss our 2021 playoffs run. I think we were short one rotational player that could have made a difference. You really see how strong these rosters are.

They were probably counting on one of Booker's big back-to-the-wall elimination game performances.

Congrats to the Nuggets for winning the championship.
Who'd have thought DeAndre Jordan would get a championship ring before Chris Paul ?

I'm happy we won 2 games against the champs.
Considering Ayton disappeared, KD became Bruno Caboclo and Shamet was a relevant player, is a hell of a feat.

Re: 2023 Playoffs: The NBA Finals News Thread
16-4 to win the title is really, really impressive.
They were easily the favorites once the Bucks went out and the Suns were down to Booker, KD, and a hodgepodge of 9th men.

He's been gassed for a few games. I can't imagine Heat fans being upset with his overall performance in these playoffs.
