Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
I think so too.

And they should. Kieff is killing it.JCSunsfan wrote:Not sure. I think the Morris twins have some real value right now.INFORMER wrote:Then you have a non-starter on your hands.JCSunsfan wrote: I do what I can to get Love for anything where we do not have to give up Goran, Bledsoe, Len or Tucker.

On offense.
Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
Can you imagine the Cavs turning consecutive #1 picks into the Morii and IT? The ghost of Ted Stepien whines, "I got booted out of the league for that shit."
“Are you crazy?! You think I’m going to go for seven years and try to get there? You enjoy the 2030 draft picks that we have holding? I want to try to see the game today.” — Ish 3/13/25

I'm not disputing that.Indy wrote:I figured you would say that, but I really believe we planned all along to sign Bleds.
Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
Got it. So you are saying we should have never signed IT if we were keeping Bledsoe.
Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
Sure they do. Just not as the focal point for Kevin Love trade offer.JCSunsfan wrote:Not sure. Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
Except his field goal percentage has come down since the beginning of the season to below 50% and he still isn't hitting the 3-ball prolifically, which would really be a huge game-changer. So even saying "killin' it on offense" would seem to be a bit of a stretch. Yet that's easy to ignore since he's coming off a 35-point thrashing of a so-called superstar (who also happens to be one of the worse defenders in the league at his position).Indy wrote:On offense.

No, not saying that either.Indy wrote:Got it. So you are saying we should have never signed IT if we were keeping Bledsoe.

Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
He is shooting better than Love from the field (.491 to .434), and nearly the same from 3 (.327 to .335).INFORMER wrote:Except his field goal percentage has come down since the beginning of the season to below 50% and he still isn't hitting the 3-ball prolifically, which would really be a huge game-changer. Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
Kieff's been money down the stretch. Short chart, last 5 minutes, game within 2 points:

He's also the only player on this team I'm comfortable letting go 1-on-1.
Love could pair with Dragic on the P&R, but neither of those two can play defense, and I doubt they can be your cornerstones, personally.

But the consensus is Love is really struggling, so I'm not sure why you want to compare the two.Indy wrote:He is shooting better than Love from the field (.491 to .434), and nearly the same from 3 (.327 to .335).INFORMER wrote:Except his field goal percentage has come down since the beginning of the season to below 50% and he still isn't hitting the 3-ball prolifically, which would really be a huge game-changer. Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
He's been very clutch, and I haven't seen anyone dispute it. The problem has been, particularly against Milwaukee (in Phoenix) and Minnesota, Kieff was one of the main culprits that put the Suns in the position of needing last minute heroics.OE32 wrote:Kieff's been money down the stretch.
Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
Maybe I should have put it this way: Kevin Love has never had a FG% even close to what Keef is doing this year.
Re: Around the League: Week 12 1/12-1/18
47% isn't close to 49%? You also have to take into account Love for the majority of his career has shot a lot more 3s than Kieff.Indy wrote:Maybe I should have put it this way: Kevin Love has never had a FG% even close to what Keef is doing this year.
On the other hand, Love has never been good at finishing in the paint and his shot selection in Minnesota suffered as he was trying to be a go-to guy (which he isn't).
But yes, Kevin Love has never shot 49% like Markieff is currently doing.

Even if you only count 2s, he hasn't approached what Keef is doing. .502 to .532.INFORMER wrote:47% isn't close to 49%? he isnt untouchable. he isnt the next duncan or shaq. for now, he is a promising tyson chandler type center.wpmiller42 wrote:I think for me, Len is nearly untouchable. He has shown the potential to be a top-3 center in the league. He's athletic, a defensive presence, and he can score even when he's not the focus of the offense. If he adds a reliable jump-hook and continues to get stronger, he can be ungaurdable. I think Len could be a starting center on a championship-quality team.
I just think any deal involving Len has to put us in the championship contender conversation to even be considered.
not even bledsoe should be untouchable. the suns would still be fine with plumlee and wright, both doing similar things len does, but not as good as he is.
