Perfectly understandable. They must be exhausted from those heavy minutes they played on Sunday.

I'm sorry but this is stupid. It's a nationally televised game and they have had like no time playing together. There's 2 new starters in the line-up.
Go Suns!

I don't think they need playing time together but I'm surprised they're sitting when it's a national TV game. Granted it's preseason but the league can't be happy.

Do the anti-load management rules not apply in the preseason? If not, why not?

Certainly does seem like a middle finger to the new rules.
Go Suns!

It’s preseason…it’s the time to figure things out. We know what Beal, Booker, and Durant bring. We need to figure out the other players in the rotation. Though there’s something to be said for seeing how the other guys play with our stars.

There’s no way the league cares about enforcing players sitting out in preseason.

I think it makes sense to roll out the stars for at least half a quarter. I could see this as a middle finger to the rules or Vogel’s way to focus on the rest of his squad to get them to focus on their play. Everyone is curious to see how the big stars play together- the silver lining could be all eyes on who among the rest of the team.

Who we got starting?
Gordon, Allen, Okogie, KBD/Yuta, Nurkic?

I can’t imagine they are thinking about the rules at all with this…I think if anything it would be more likely they don’t want to give Denver reps against our big 3…but we could’ve just not scheduled them. I think we’re simply opening up time to help try and solve our rotation crunch. We’ve got 14 guys who are probably expecting minutes…3-4 of those guys will be out of the rotation to start the season.

Probably… I could also see keeping Gordon off the bench and running Allen/Okogie/Little/Yuta/Nurkic

Gordon-Allen-Okogie-Yuta-Nurk is my guess at the line up

Also, it’s the preseason home opener. Why not sit them for a road game? Ishbia preaches “fan experience”—there may be families/students/others who can only afford preseason tickets who were looking forward to seeing the big three.

So you’re telling me this means Nurkic’s spot is not even secured yet?

If resting Book/KD/Beal gives me more precious Bol Bol time, then hell yeah I'm for it.

What is going on here with some of these comments? It's a meaningless pre-season game. I actually wish our best players played basically none of them.

Also it’s a preseason game, so anyone buying a tickets should already what comes with that.

It’s not like star players sitting preseason games is something new.
