Haven’t watched this one yet, but random observation from the box score: how does somebody have a game like Beal had and shoot only one free throw? Doesn’t there come a point where somebody’s supposed to knock him on his ass and see if that takes him out of rhythm?

The ref was just making stuff up. He didn’t see it go off Bol’s hand because it didn’t. Never made it there after the deflection.

He's was doing pretty much everything he wanted unimpeded. It's like LA wanted Beal to cook and he came through in a big way.Cap wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 12:00 amHaven’t watched this one yet, but random observation from the box score: how does somebody have a game like Beal had and shoot only one free throw? Well as been the case recently
Didn't get to watch it Live but checking the replay at 6am and seeing such a performance is a great way to start the day
My feelings on Beal are known so I'm not surprised to see him cook, it was coming

Just gonna mention couple things that I hope are not habits
Well it has already been highlighted in another thread that KD 3pt shot quality is terrible. I paid attention to it and some of them really are poor, guess when your shot doesn't get blocked you rise up whenever you wish.
Taking those without anyone else touching the ball especially when we need a score is a bit annoying
Second thing which haven't seen mentioned
Our 3rd quarter start had a couple defensive lapses, mainly Nurk and he had one of his flip shots seeking contact instead of just going up strong. He was clearly pouting, Book n KD were pissed and Book singled to the bench for a sub.
Nurk knew Book was annoyed, he did a nice cross court pass out the post for a Book 3 and on the way back down Book is clapping at him to Let's go, Wake up...
Something to that effect
Lakers shortly call timeout and the cameras catch Fizdale also giving Nurk a pep talk. He was much more solid after that and it was just the 4-5min stretch to start the quarter but I have not seen that from him before

Think she was talking to Book all the way to the left, he's barely in the shot but it looked like they were talking.

That would feel so much better if we were 30-8.

Only caught the first half but it was nice seeing the team fully engaged for the most part. Kinda pissed I went to bed and missed the Beal eruption, but oh well. One thing that annoyed the hell out of me was Reggie continually making excuses for the Lakers, saying they've been injured and the travel has been tiring after the IST. Give me a break. The Suns have been one of the most injured teams in the league, and the Lakers travel to Vegas for the IST was basically nothing.

We got some challenging games coming up, hopefully this is the game we can look back on as the turning point for our season. For any hopefuls out there, we’re only 6 games back from the top spot…I’m just sayin’.

LOL, so Beal has already now made eight 3s in a game, while Book has never had seven 3s in his career as a Sun?

GmSc of 30.1, if anybody’s wondering. Seventh-best game by a Sun this season. Booker has bettered it twice and Durant four times.
