LA has lost 13 of 14 and are now 3 games ahead of NY for the worst record in the league.

But I don't see Jim Buss fixing that team anytime soon.

Agreed. The pick will still be lotto when we get it - but that may not be next year, either.
None of this, by the way, is a bad thing. We have lots of young talent on the roster. I think it'd be a good idea to space it out a bit. IMO, the last big piece we're missing is a tough 4. I really like our young talent.

They were both bad calls. One helped us, one hurt us. I thought Sessions got him across the forearm.

I can't believe what I saw out of Markieff tonight. If your coach is too dumb to take you out when you are 2-15 then you have to be a passer. You cant keep shooting. You just cant. If you cant make the go ahead shot when Ramon Sessions is guarding you in the post you have no business shooting.
The Suns deserved this loss and they deserved to lose it on a bullshit bounce 5 times on the rim before it goes in kind of shot.
Abysmal shooting again for the 3rd time in 4 games. Unacceptable.

If you look at the box score without names next to the 3-20 it gives you the feeling that Allen Iverson is the newest member of the Phoenix Suns.

"Here we go again" was what Markieff said he was thinking on the Cousins shot.
"Here we go again" Which was what Suns fans were saying every time Markieff shot the ball.

The Thomas call was correct. I watched the Kings broadcast and they showed Sessions clearly raking his arm first. The Bobster wrote:You can't really complain about that charge call - it was probably a block, but we sure weren't complaining when they missed a call and gave Thomas some free throws on that layup.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Re: Game Day: Suns (29-23) @ Kings (17-32), Sun 2/8/15
The problem with this team right now is that nearly every single piece is redundant. All of our centers do the same thing more or less, to varying degrees of success. All of our wing players are me-first shot creators. And all of our PGs are shoot first, rim attackers (and pretty redundant with our wing players). The two against-type exceptions on the roster are PJ Tucker and Tyler Ennis. Maybe Zoran, too, but who knows what he'd look like if given playing time. There are too many Marcus Morrises on our roster and not enough Omri Casspis.
What that leads to is a lack of versatility. Sure we can go big or go small, but that's not what I'm referring to. If Marcus or Gerald is struggling, we just replace them with another Marcus (TJ) or another Gerald (Archie). Replacing EB because he's throwing passes he shouldn't just gets us IT who whose tunnel vision is often just another form of turnover.
I know it's a work in progress, but while McD has put together a talented roster, it's lacking some balance. Just way too many one-on-one players right now.

We needed more and better from Dragic tonight. I'm glad Warren got some run tonight.

the other side (kings broadcasters) saw the replay and admitted the refs were right with the call on IT.Cap wrote:They were both bad calls. One helped us, one hurt us. maybe one way to reverse the bad luck on close games is to insert green in the lineup if you need a last second quick release shot with 3 seconds remaning in the 4th.
and if you need one more defensive stop with 5 seconds remaining, i'd rather have marcus or green in there over IT.

We was robbed.
Of course, the other argument is that it shouldn't have been that close to begin with. I just knew the whole game that we would come back at the end. That's this team's MO.

The redundancy of the roster is a good observation.
The slow start is worrisome. I feel like that's been an issue before with us and I'm used to seeing it all the time with the Knicks. You can't get down, fight your way back all game and still have enough juice to close it out every single time. We need to create a sense of urgency from the start. I don't know if it comes from the coach or our guards but someone needs to bring it from the start.

I think it's as simple as, everyone's unhappy. Nobody feels like they play enough, because we have too many quality players on the roster. Nobody, that is, except PJ Tucker and Eric Bledsoe.
Where are the trade rumors?

Really? Who is in a position to gripe about minutes?OE32 wrote:I think it's as simple as, everyone's unhappy. Nobody feels like they play enough, because we have too many quality players on the roster. Nobody, that is, except PJ Tucker and Eric Bledsoe.
IT and Green might play more minutes on other teams, but I don't think those two getting 25 and 20 minutes a game is causing extreme dissatisfaction; they're getting all they could have expected when they arrived.
There are also a bunch of promising youngsters who aren't playing at all, but again, I see no evidence of that having anything to do with the team's chemistry. You think our starters are playing poorly because Ennis, Goodwin, Zoki and Bullock are pouting at the end of the bench?
