Last year's team was worse talent wise, but it was more pleasant to watch. This team seems to always be lacking something. I don't know if we will got far in the playoffs playing like this, unless Book plays like last year's Denver series all the games.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:37 pmWell the Kings are a good team. Whew. Suns win
But if I'm Sacramento, the Suns haven't done anything to make them feel like they can't beat them in a seven game series.

I mean the defensive errors are rough…we were a better defensive team for sure last year. I also think we’re probably remembering the playoff team…not the regular season team that was also quite frustrating at times.Furlanfufi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:46 pmLast year's team was worse talent wise, but it was more pleasant to watch. Also I really like Candace Parker usually, but she’s stuck on this suns just iso thing…am I the crazy one? I’m not seeing that at all. We started doing it at the end when Kings were switching everything, but she said it was iso from 11 minutes left in the 4th…we were moving that ball all over the place with that small ball lineup the first half of the 4th.

ESPN has 4 too, so 9-5-4-4-1 and a team high +13

Gritty win. Love to see it.
I love Royce's defensive prowess but God damn he's somehow worse than Okogie on offense. I think he's a great missing piece on defense.
Bol had a bad first half but not sure a rusty Nassir Little was any better in the second. Made a play or 2 but also made a bone head play or 2.

How do you figure? 2/5 from 3(including a huge one down the stretch) and 5 assist to 0 turnovers.djy2j wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:54 pmGritty win. Love to see it.

I think she's mostly right. We passed the ball playing small, but we don't use screens to get shooters open, just to pass to durant or Book and they initiate the plays, if don't work pass to the perimeter and so on. I would love to see the team using more backdoor cuts, running some screens to free Allen/Gordon or whatever shooter we have on the court...Split T wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:52 pmAlso I really like Candace Parker usually, but she’s stuck on this suns just iso thing…am I the crazy one? You’re right there’s not a lot of off ball screens…I’d be ok running some stuff to get Grayson and EG looks, especially when they are cooking…I still don’t think drive, kick, swing, drive, kick, shoot is iso at all. We do use some back door cuts with Nurk on the floor at times. We didn’t really have an offensive hub on the court to end the game though. We went small and it was screen to get Booker or Durant into the paint and play from there. Kings started blitzing and doubling…At that point you get it to the screener. Josh missed two layups out of that…hard to get better looks.Furlanfufi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:57 pmI think she's mostly right. The Suns don't iso so much as they make bad passes in traffic or jump pass, if they'd clean that up things would look much better.

And I want to shoot Booker everytime he emulates CP3 and cross the half court sloowwwlyyy.
7sol then, 7 seconds to cross the halfcourt now.

I think you (and a lot of people) are missing Chris Paul. It's easy to forget how simple he made everything look during the regular season and especially the 4th quarter. Going from a ball dominant Hall of Fame point guard to a collective ball sharing scheme has been very dramatic from an aesthetic perspective, not to mention the dumb turnovers.Furlanfufi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:46 pmLast year's team was worse talent wise, but it was more pleasant to watch. She's been stuck in that take for a while now, one of the hardliner "Suns need a PG" pundits.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:52 pmAlso I really like Candace Parker usually, but she’s stuck on this suns just iso thing…am I the crazy one? Moving the ball to hunt mismatches and attacking them in isolation is not iso-ball. In fact, it's less iso-centric than what a lot of "point guards" do in the PnR right now.

Yeah, Royce walked into a semi-transition pull up 3 and drilled it. I’m not sure Okogie could pull that off at LA Fitness, let alone during crunch time of a tight game.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:55 pmHow do you figure? 2/5 from 3(including a huge one down the stretch) and 5 assist to 0 turnovers.djy2j wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:54 pmGritty win. The mere fact that you thought about it made it happen. That’s on you.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 8:08 pmYesterday I almost made a comment about not hearing dumbass Reggie Miller for a while, but I didn't want to jinx it.
Turns out jinx's are bullshit. Who knew?
