Agreed. For now I would call Len a pure C, but thanks to his agility and shooting, I think he can develop into a two-position player.Ring_Wanted wrote:Ha! I'm not talking about Frye. I wouldn't ever call him a tower. But Len seems much more comfortable launching jumpshots than banging in the paint, offensively. It wouldn't surprise me if he developed a reliable shot, and with his agility, he could guard some PFs and allow another big body to play in the paint.Cap wrote:If you're talking about someone like Channing Frye, I wouldn't call him a pure C. Robinson-Duncan is another famous Twin Towers with two guys who can play C, but one of whom is just as comfortable at PF. Carey is talking about lineups with two pure Cs.

Len is gigantic. He'll always play center. He's decently athletic but he's much too big and lumbering overall to be a PF, especially given the players in today's NBA.
Re: Suns News: Week 16 2/9-2/15
I certainly don't think of Len as lumbering.
Re: Suns News: Week 16 2/9-2/15
He's not lumbering, but he'll never be able to play the 4 for more than a stretch (no pun intended). He's plenty agile, but he's not quick enough.

I'd do this, but I don't see Utah biting. I don't think they're giving Exum away this early in the kids career. BTW, You love trying to find ways to get Bledsoe to Utah haha.INFORMER wrote:Enes KanterTheOriginalOriginal wrote:Enes Kanter is supposedly available, he rebounds and plays up front.

We actually have a lot of tradable pieces and contracts. Alot of assets for contenders and a lot of assets for Teams looking for younger players to rebuild with. Mcdonaugh has done a pretty good job of accumulating assets now its time to put them together for a payoff. Unlike a lot of you though, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't make a deal and instead made a big one this off-season before the draft. This year isn't make or break and teams may be more inclined to deal after the season when the visions of a top 3 lottery pick are no longer dancing in there heads.

Those restrictions don't apply because the Suns were under the cap when they executed that trade.carey wrote:Don't think we have had Wright long enough to package him with players in a trade.INFORMER wrote:And the grand finale:

You have your guys don't you.INFORMER wrote:http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/23 ... ext-SeasonAs Alec Brown enters Phoenix’s D-League affiliate, the Suns are expected to discuss an NBA deal with their 2014 second-round draft pick to join the 2015-16 roster, a league source told RealGM.
Brown, a rare sharpshooter at 7-foot-1, has been rehabilitating the dislocated left shoulder that he suffered in last July’s Las Vegas summer league. He appeared in five games for the Suns’ summer league entry.
The Suns have remained high on Brown, monitoring his progress and entrance into the Bakersfield Jam of the D-League. He’ll join Bakersfield’s roster next week.

I liked Brown alot coming out of Green Bay last yr, but his Summer league left a lot to be desired. I think had Green Bay made the tournament they were good enough to make a run and he would of gotten a lot more exposure. Maybe enough to generate a late 1st rd pick.
Haven't been following him overseas though admittedly.

He hasn't played overseas. He has just been rehabbing.

No, I just like his potential as a unique role player.iLLmatic wrote: You have your guys don't you.
And to clarify, I'm just glad the Suns have a vested interest in developing. But I don't think he should be signed for next season. I think he a year or two away from being ready to be on a NBA roster.
Re: Suns News: Week 16 2/9-2/15
Boy better chop off his arms and go bionic cuz that upper body is weak as ****.

I'm frustrated by nearly every aspect of this current Suns team, so don't begrudge me this small sliver of sunshine that I can enjoy.

Re: Suns News: Week 16 2/9-2/15
Sorry. Alec Brown will be like Channing but with more heart.

No wonder I haven't heard much about him. Didn't realize the shoulder was so bad he had surgery. I guess he'll be in Bakersfield

Babby said he thinks we're putting an "incredible" product on the floor.

I guess I'm the only one who likes all of this.
Then again, I've liked every draft pick. Len and Warren were my guys. I'm ready to continue the process of passing the torch.
