First, thank you gods for breaking the win loss streak the Suns had going. This game was on that schedule as being a horrible loss and it wasn’t.

Hard to make a case against Allen as starter but, Royce has filled in admirably in his place. Royce’s offense has been streaky though. He had it going last night.

Bol Bol continues to impress me. I thought he was a novelty item at first. He has serious offensive skills and is smart in his decisions. Maybe not the right matchup for every game. He makes an impact.

KG and Booker being the scorers and Beal being more of the Swiss army knife is working pretty well. I have a feeling in the playoffs when we play the same team several times that we may see a more aggressive Beal at times where teams think they can concentrate on Booker and KG.

Beal was kind of invisible, shooting just 3-9 and scoring 7.
No. Stats do not tell the whole story. He had a big impact on the game doing all the little things. That steal he had after Booker threw the ball away and then pass while falling out of bounds back to Booker for the layup was the highlight of the game for me and the kind of extra hustle and awareness that we need.

And again, wish we could've seen Thad in those matchups as well since Nurk seemed to struggle with the quickness and athleticism of Allen and Mobley. We have some frontcourt versatility, need to take advantage of it.

Also good to see us maybe simplifying things with Beal on the ball and letting Book and KD be scorers. I'm sure it's a major adjustment for him, especially at this point in the year, but I'd love for him to look at the basket more on his drive instead of circling around and kicking it back out.
I wouldn't use Thad and quickness in the same sentence. I don't know that he could handle those types of players any better.

And yeah, love that Beal is being the facilitator but it drives me crazy when he could have a layup under the basket but passes the ball outside to a shooter. Just mix it up and score when the opportunity presents itself.

I hope so.

I think in the playoffs you need to be able to mix it up. Teams try to figure you out and you need to keep them guessing some.

Agreed. But I don't know why we wouldn't mix it up now during the regular season when we need to win as many games as possible. I don't think we need to hide "mixing it up" from our opponents. The more we mix it up, the better we are and less predictable. Like we've been saying, we don't want to rely on any flipping of switches.

You're absolutely right, that was an awesome play. And Beal did have 7 assists. I may not be noticing all the little things he's doing. But I don't think we need big scoring from Beal most nights. I much prefer having Point Beal to Scorer Beal.

Here’s a thought I had…CP3 back at the minimum to run the 2nd unit for 12 minutes a game next year.

He could play all 12 minutes of the 4th.

That alone probably gives us 10 more wins this season.

I'd take that in a heartbeat, but I bet that ship has sailed. CP3 is probably too proud to come back to Phoenix after being traded away. You at least make the call to his agent, though.

Eubanks is awful at the tap back
I don't get why he doesn't just grab if he can full hand spike it 😂
This team tries that stupid back tap more than any other team I have seen.

Nurk is effective with it. Eubanks is not.
