With the win, Suns can't fall any lower than 7th. Could still potentially get the 6 seed, but it requires New Orleans to lose at home to the Lakers on Sunday. Suns @ Wolves (who have every reason to try to win, given that they're still in position to possibly take the top seed in the West) and Lakers @ Pelicans both tip off at the same time as all of the games involving the West playoff teams, 12:30 Pacific.

It looks like the Lakers will have a reason to play their starters in the final game against New Orleans, given that the Warriors (home game against Utah) and Kings (home game against Portland) are likely to win their final games and could get into a tie with L.A. at 46 wins, should the Lakers drop their final game. According to stuff I'm finding online, the Kings win tiebreakers against both the Lakers and Warriors, and the possible 3-way tiebreaker as well; the Lakers also lose the potential 2-team tiebreaker against the Warriors. If the Lakers want to ensure they stay in 8th, they need to try to win.
