I still think we're better off not having gotten Jimmy.

There was another report today that the Heat will try for KD again this summer but won't give up some crazy package of picks for him.
I don't want most of the Heat's players. Bam is nice, but if they are trading for KD, presumably they want to keep Bam so they can try to contend. What are they going to give us? KD makes $51m. They would have to give us some package like Tyler Herro ($29m) and Duncan Robinson ($19m), or maybe Wiggins ($26m) in place of Herro. That's pretty underwhelming if you don't put multiple picks in with it. They have a few interesting young guys like Jaquez and Jovic, but nobody who would substitute for getting multiple 1sts back, imo.

Ware and Jovic would need to be part of any deal for me to even pick up the phone.

This is what I was afraid of…teams don’t even want Booker anymore because he sucks. We are really screwed for years to come.

Yeah but when we do come to our senses that we need to trade him, it won’t be a great haul it seems. His return is already greatly diminishing.

Yeah, if you don't think Booker is consistent, watch that guy and let's talk about consistency.

If you take this Houston announcement credulously, I have some land in Florida to sell you.

That is a wide net. Glad to see they are being thorough. It will be interesting to see who we end up with.

Bad look IMO. This isn't some middle management job in marketing. The FO should have a network of coaches they're already familiar with, like maybe 3-5, that they move quickly on. This just overkill and an overreaction to their own kneejerk reactions with Vogel and Bud.

I don't know. No reason to rush it. They've moved too quickly in the past. Is it an overreaction? Maybe. If they're going with somebody fresh I don't have a problem with them taking their time with it. I could see them going too far the other way though and trying to install a college type program. I mean, how many times has Michigan State been mentioned? Like a thousand? I hope they don't turn off experienced NBA pros.

Reality is that they don't have that network, so this gives the new guy some exposure. I'd rather them do this than fake it and bring in someone they don't really know.

I don't care how many people they "consider" or interview so long as they hire somebody great. I'll wait and see on this one.
