Hahahaha, Flex is literally defending his lies about Jalen Green after being factually proven wrong:

It’s just depressing the level of incompetence of our front office.
Look man, I don't know what you really expected to get out of this old thin skinned bitch getting traded, they were never gonna get a haul.
I mean, sure I expected a bad haul, but not this bad. Like you guys said… we should have snagged a young guy or two. You know damn well those other gms were on the line and probably conspired to fleece the rookie gm. It was Gregory’s “welcome to the nba” moment.
Can't force a team to offer something.
Also don’t have to take a shit sandwhich. No works both ways.
I'd rather have this trade than still have Durant. The offers were only going to get worse as he ages.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

The disparity between what we(as posters) wanted and what we got I think is explained by how much the suns valued Dillon Brooks.

I wonder if we could’ve got 2027 if we took Landale instead of Brooks.
I’m sorry but no reasonable gm says…. Let’s go get Dillon brooks. Ewe ewe ewe.
I mean I think you’re letting your personal opinion of Brooks cloud your judgement. He absolutely fits exactly what Ishbia said he wanted to be the culture of the team. He’s also a good basketball player. I personally don’t like him, but hard to argue with a guy that’s known for his defense who put up 14 points and shot 40% from 3. He’s better than either Royce or Grayson.
Nah man. Nah.

Brooks is an intense physical defender, but he's not smart and balances his good defense with bad decisions. He's the kind of instigator who brings out the best in his opponents - he doesn't bother great players, he just pisses them off. Plus, he's a 35% 3pt shooter. He almost hit 40% last season, but that was an anomaly.

I would take Royce over Brooks every day of the week.
That's not what I saw in the playoffs this year. The broadcast was talking about how he's matured and has mentored some of the young guys. We'll see.

Suns out-leveraged in Kevin Durant trade talks with underwhelming return
https://arizonasports.com/nba/phoenix-s ... e/3586351/

Kellen Olson eviscerates the Suns and GM in this hit piece. I mean, yeah, it's the Suns (Ishbia's) fault for putting themselves in this position but the truth is, nobody was going to give up a lot for a soon-to-be 37 year old superstar who doesn't elevate a team but is only a finishing piece, hired assassin who will miss many games due to injury.

You can argue maybe we could have gotten some better pieces instead of adding to our 6'5" guard collection but I think this trade is going to be addition by subtraction for the Suns. I know I was miserable last season watching the Durant-led Suns. Who knew adding an all-time great superstar to your team could be such a downer?!

I just don't get why you can't respect other peoples opinions that they did a poor job. Other GM's have been able to squeeze other teams for assets, but not us and it's proven in not just this trade but the previous trades as well.

I keep seeing people put Ryan Dunn at PF. He is not a PF. He is a SF. Please, Suns, don’t ruin Dunn by making him play the 4, just because you traded for Dillon Brooks. Bench Brooks (and Green) if you have to.

I respect everybody's opinions and I have my own. The huge mistake was trading for an aging KD for what they did in the first place. The rest is a by product. We can agree to disagree if you think the Suns could have gotten a lot more for him.

I wish the Suns had looked more to the Clippers as to how to handle this. They didn't want to pay Paul George, but instead of making a bad trade and getting an underwhelming return, they just let him sign somewhere else. Then they used that money to fill out their depth. Sure, we would have had to suffer through one more season, but if teams are worried they'll have to compete on the free agent market for KD, I think their offers would have gone up. And worst case scenario we get under this 2nd apron ridiculousness and go from there.

I'm going to be optimistic and hope that Ott can coach up Green's basketball IQ and that Brooks becomes the vocal leader in the locker room we've been missing since CP3, but it doesn't excuse that this was a horrible trade.

KD is a ho. He will always be the guy who has never taken any accountability for anything in his career aside from those titles when he joined the mega team, nothing else has ever been his fault. I hope he blows his another achilles.

Agreed! He can guard PFs when necessary but he should primarily be used as a SF.

And we have been in desperate need of a rebounding PF for years, so please don’t just move Brooks to PF. We need a legit 4 and a legit 5.
