OK that's a good trade. I'll take Williams for the 29th, provided he's healthy.

Windhorst was saying that Williams isn't healthy and won't be extended at the end of the season. The Suns get a starting center to take pressure off of Maluach while he develops and money off the books next summer. According to Windhorst.

Williams and Maluach is a very solid C rotation for next year. Well done FO.

Nick Richards has to be heading out elsewhere.

I'm not sure about including the 2029 1st though

I believe Nick Richards is staying. Suns need as much size as possible.

I like this trade. 👍

He seems like he’d only get in the way of Oso and Khaman getting minutes to develop.

I don't think Richards will be here next year.

It’s not just the 29th. It’s our 2029 1s round pick also.

The health stuff is a little scary.

My prediction is Richards is gonna get traded to the lakers for a future 2nd. They have a trade exception so they can just absorb the salary.

There's something more here that needs to shake out. Do they have to send out salary to Charlotte? If Mark Williams isn't healthy, why risk taking him and sending out 2 picks? Even if Maluach needs a year to develop behind him, if Williams isn't healthy then it's moot? Richards' $5mil isn't guaranteed so did they take on Williams and draft Maluach to save money declining Richards? Wouldn't Richards be useful depth if Williams is hurt and Maluach isn't ready to contribute?

Yea but that's a ways away. We can recoup a pick or two by then.

Oso can't shoot. I don't see how you play PF in the modern NBA if you can't shoot unless you're a relentless attacker of the rim and certified bucket. That's not Oso.
Go Suns!

You need a 5 that can shoot ala Brook Lopez so Oso can play the 4.

Oso needs to come back from the offseason with a shot. Surely he sees that.

I agree that Oso would be better with a shot, but I'm not holding my breath on that.
