2025 NBA Free Agency

Post by Superbone »

Starts Monday, June 30th at 6 pm EST. And then players can officially sign starting July 6th.

Who we going after? Any chance we'd entertain going after a 40-year-old CP3? He's probably done with Phoenix but he's still close with Book.

Any interest in retaining Tyus Jones? Maybe Ott could get more out of him. (Anything is better than force feeding KD every trip.) What other PGs are out there we might go after?

No question the Suns goal is to get out from under the 2nd Apron this offseason, right?
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

"Cool is getting us blown out!"

I’d take cp3 again given our current need for a leader and think he’s good for young guys.

If he was willing to come back to play 15-20 minutes a night for the vetreran's minimum, sure.

I’m thinking about out depth chart now:

Booker, Gillespie
Green, Brea
Brooks, Dunn
???, Fleming
Williams, Maluach

Still need a starting PF as my biggest FA need. But I’d also be open to moving Green to the bench and adding a PG in FA…would still need a PF. Grayson, Royce, and Beal can be traded for some of our needs still.

Guys I’m interested in…Santi Aldama, Guerchon Yabusele, and Larry Nance Jr

He's restricted, but I think I'd see if we could work out a sign and trade with Chicago for Giddey.

Not an expert on the subject, but I believe that apron teams can’t acquire players via sign-and-trade.

Giddey is not feasible on more than one level. Would be much happier with him than Jalen Green if for some reason the Bulls want to do something really dumb.

Nance is a good target. Yabu as well - but it will be interesting to see if he can get more than the minimum. Santi will be way out of our price range. He's getting at least an MLE deal somewhere, if not Grayson-level money.
Precious Achiuwa, Dalano Banton, Batum, Chris Boucher, Amir Coffey, Tre Jones, Laravia, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Tre Mann, De'Anthony Melton, Josh Minott, Larry Nance, Chris Paul, T. Prince, Reed, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Tate, Watford, Guerschon Yabusele

I saw enough of Santi in the playoffs to think he's the perfect player for the Suns of the last two years. He was fucking awful defensively with tremendously stupid mistakes.

I would rather put a paper plate out there than Santi Aldama

I think Santi would fit really well with this team right now. I also find him entertaining to watch, flaws and all. Maybe that would change a bit in a Suns uniform.

Can't believe I'm going to write this, but I think I like Westbrook for this team as well.

Brooks and Westbrook together... :?

I like Westbrook too for us…we could use his on ball attacking…do brooks and Westbrook have a history? I mean both seem to have history’s with multiple guys, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all

I don't think there's necessarily "history", just an interesting ego fit.

If anyone can figure that out right now given all the pending deals, they shouldn't be wasting time here explaining it to us.
