A lot of these trades from this week don't make sense to me (for one side). Why would New Orleans trade CJ McCollum, a flawed but serviceable starting SG, for Jordan Poole, a worthless bonehead chucker? Why would anybody trade assets for Kristaps Porzingis, who seems to have some longstanding "mystery illness" and is a decent bet never to be fully healthy again? Why would Portland (re)acquire Jrue Holiday, who clearly does not want to play there, to put him on what is not even a playoff team?

McCollum sucks…Jordan Poole is much younger and better than CJ.

Poole was actually pretty good last year. CJ McCollum is the reason the 2nd apron exists, fuck that guy.

I would trade Booker for Brown.
I’m gonna bite, can you explain this?
Never mind, I thought he was like 2 or 3 years younger than Booker. But he is way better defensively, he is a Finals MVP, and he makes less money in ‘28-‘29, so I wouldn’t hate it.

Way better defensively is a stretch, he's been on a great defensive team that's always had guards who take up the bulk of the perimeter work. Trade would make zero sense, you just hate Booker 😂

Let me know next time Booker wins Finals MVP based on his defense. If Boston threw in an unprotected first, I would do it with no hesitation.

Finals MVP doesn't mean anything.

Regardless of this current health issue, I would be cautious about KPs future just based on the last 8 years of his career. This is a 50 game per season guy who is going to be 30 next season. Even if he was at peak health right now, I wouldn't trust it to last.
I remember how badly I wanted him from Dallas. Not any more.

Doubt he was involved at all in the draft. Other people ran it, that's why they took CMB. Masai wouldn't have passed on Maluach.
