Would the Bulls do Beal for Zack Collins, Patrick Williams and Jevon Carter?

I am not sure I want to take on that Williams contract. He has 4 more years at 18M per. I guess if we can't find another deal I'd consider it.

Do we even have enough roster spots for a 1 for 3 trade?
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
Taking Williams is almost the same as waiving and stretching Beal
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
I personally don't want to bring back Paul. He only plays one way, and I don't want the Suns to have a bigger range of options on offence. I agree that we don't have the playmakers we need on the roster, but I don't think CP3 is the guy.

Green for Fox works. Who says NO besides the Spurs?

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
Honestly, I'm optimistic about Jalen Green. Athletic, runs the floor well, his defense has improved since he got to the league, seems like a good teammate. I agree his shot selection could be questionable at times, but even that I see improving over his career. I think this could be the right situation and combined with some continued maturation and I think we might all love him.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
Ya I don’t think Green is a future star by any means…but if you can fix his shot selection. Turn him into more of a complimentary scorer and see his efficiency rise…I think there’s a path to a good player in him still.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
It’s better than stretching Beal at that amount for 5 years.

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
By 1 year…so not much better. We’d probably end up buying him out and stretching his deal over 9 years…or like 7-8 million a year.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
I don't dislike Green. I just don't think he makes any sense in the same backcourt as Devin Booker. And I don't want to trade Devin Booker. It's basically the Brad Beal problem all over again, though arguably Green will be an even worse fit because he plays worse defense and has a lower BBIQ. Green will probably stay healthier than Beal, but otherwise I just don't think he works well next to Book.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 8:51 amHonestly, I'm optimistic about Jalen Green. I don't want to be pessimistic; I just really wish we would find another team for Green and get some other asset for him that fits our roster better. A real distributing/defensive PG or a starting veteran PF would be great. I would even take an offense-only PG if he passed the ball well, such as Trae Young. Trae/Book would give us a horrendous perimeter defense, but I still think the fit would be better than with Green. And maybe we could just run and outscore teams and try to get wins that way. Smells to me like ATL is about ready to give up on the Trae Young era, so I think he'll be available soon.

I absolutely hate the stretch provision. I can’t even stand seeing $3 million on the cap sheet through 2030 for Little.

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
I disagree on Atlanta…in years passed they seemed to be toying with moving on from Trae, but this year they went all in on building a Trae centric team. He recruited NAW and Kennard. They added KP. They aren’t moving Trae.
I mostly agree on your views with Green. He’s not a good fit, but I’m fine with a poor fit for now as we shouldn’t be worried about contending next year. Booker and Beal worked ok offensively, when Booker had the ball. I’m hoping we keep the ball in Booker(or a PG’s) hands. Green has always been the main perimeter threat on Houston and I think being a secondary threat might help. Defense is a problem, but at least we aren’t also starting a small pg next to them. What we really need is a PF sized pg (like a certain player in LA that doesn’t want to play with Luka and costs the same as Beal, haha). We’d never do it, and we’d probably hate him in practice, but Ben Simmons would make a lot of sense in theory.

Meh, that’s a vet min salary. I don’t like the stretch provision much either…but if it’s used, it better be used to create flexibility to improve the roster now…if it’s just used to save money, it is a travesty.JeremyG wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 10:25 amI absolutely hate the stretch provision. Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
2019 Ben Simmons would be great on this team. I just don't think he has the confidence to play well anymore.
Regarding Green, I agree in principle that we can rebuild his value a bit. It's not about completing a championship roster now; it's about having assets to trade. Just gotta hope we have the discipline and accountability to keep the ball moving and that Green's not a bad influence on the young'uns.

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
From what I’ve heard, Green is actually a very hard worker. A lot of his issues could just be explained by having to be the primary ball handler on a bad team(until this year, but the team was still mostly a defensive team).
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
This is probably a bigger deal than people realize. He's never had any help, the best offensive player he's played with is who, Sengun? He's not taking any attention away from Green, and he also clogs the lane, having Booker be the main focus should really allow him some offensive freedoms he's never had.
