Marty, with respect, Superbone's post doesn't so much come across to me as him being personally upset with you as it does the irony of your position/role on this site, juxtaposed with the continuing (more than understandable, yet tiring) rhetoric of beating the drum of the Michigan connection(s).

And in all honesty, it's not my intention here to try to control or influence the tone of yours or anyone else's posts. I just have to think that it's more than possible for us (please know that I'm more than including myself here) as a group to be able to recognize, that yes, there are multiple connections to Michigan in our front office, and for potentially questionable reasons. Reasons that hopefully down the line won't bear the illest of fruit. At the same time, I want to believe that it's possible to legitimize and give any and all deserved credence and commentary to these hires, while at the same time, not having those particular dialogue(s) become anchors unto themselves that could drag down and/or negatively effect the vibes here/our discussions of the team and the upcoming season.

For what it's worth, I tried to minimize the word salad there, while being fair to you, myself, and hopefully everyone else here. Cuz I know it's beyond obvious that our team has experienced rather seismic changes, and that the obvious context of a lot of those changes has had an effect.

And without paraphrasing everything I said get down in ye olde politics section, I will always believe in the people and community here over all else.

Thank you again, marty, for resurrecting this place - it has been and still is the reason I'm a Phoenix Suns fan, and even more so, the connections I've made here has been a big part, lately, of what has enabled me to endure some pretty serious shit in life.
