It is idiotic to acknowledge Beal and Book in the backcourt didn't work and then trade for someone with a similar game yet again without a plan in place to route him elsewhere.INFORMER wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 8:00 pmSplit has asserted a few times that over the last two seasons, we've been at our best with Point Book. And there is actually some truth to that. I think Point Book put Book in control to where he didn't get lost in the lack of offensive scheme (Vogel) or a bad offensive scheme (Budenholzer). Book makes sure he gets his when he is running the point, and that's not even a bad thing. Relative to the alternative, it wasn't the worst. But it also isn't a recipe for success if you're trying to eventually contend.
Of course, the Suns aren't contending this upcoming season. And after they traded for Green, that essentially backed us into a corner. So it something I had accepted as a byproduct of poor decision-making that more or less can't be undone; I just have a hard time hearing it being sold as a good thing.

Relax, guys. It's Oso + draft capitol. You know you are getting a great player when you give up draft capitol.

Regarding Oso, I like him a lot. But are we not concerned about his inability to make a shot from further than 8 feet out?

And regarding draft capital, it appears to me that these Ishbia Suns do value the draft having drafted 5 rookies in the last two years.

Yes, I am concerned about that. I wouldn’t be opposed in trading him in the right deal, I just don’t think this is that deal. GS doesn’t even want Kuminga. They don’t like him. He’s a FA and doesn’t want to go back to GS. I’m not paying Kuminga and giving up assets to a team that doesn’t want to pay him.

I agree that these Suns need to play hardball for a change.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 10:23 amYes, I am concerned about that. Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
To me this just screams of something leaked from the Warriors side. If the Suns had that offer on the table, they would/should be taking that so fast. They literally spent the past season telling everyone how dumb and lazy Kuminga was but now they want top dollar to move him. When they don't even want to pay him? We can't give up any more than Grayson OR Royce in that sort of deal. And I love how there's this level of detail for the Suns deal but then this vague Kings deal. Whatever. There's no reason for ANY team to do the Warriors any favors here.virtual9mm wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 3:07 amIf they trade Oso for Kuminga...I am going to completely flip out. Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
The kings offer was listed at one point as Saric, Devin Carter and a pick I think…it said GS wanted Keon Ellis or Keegan Murray
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
It will be interesting to see if he can pull this off in the NBA.

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
I wish we saw more of him coming off screens and firing as I think that’s his ticket to being a good nba role player. Shooting off the bounce is definitely a nice skill to have, but I don’t think we will see him in those situations much in the nba. I don’t think he has the on ball juice to get by defenders, so I think he’ll mostly be catch and shoot, running off screens, and the Royce O’Neale staple, pump fake/side step/reposition shots.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
To whoever was wondering why we hadn’t seen anything on NHD…I guess maybe it wasn’t official until now:
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
In Summer league, I did see him juke his defender at the three point line and move in for the 18 footer so hopefully that is something he can do in the NBA as well.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 12:41 pmI wish we saw more of him coming off screens and firing as I think that’s his ticket to being a good nba role player. The Suns should welcome his mom as well since it was well publicized that he took less money to come to the NBA so his mom could watch him play courtside.

Ya I’m good with that too…just don’t think he’s going to be doing the on ball creation that video showed him doing in college…but I’m fine to be wrong here hahaSuperbone wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 1:19 pmIn Summer league, I did see him juke his defender at the three point line and move in for the 18 footer so hopefully that is something he can do in the NBA as well.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 12:41 pmI wish we saw more of him coming off screens and firing as I think that’s his ticket to being a good nba role player. I don't like giving up a shooter, and two bigs for Kuminga. We help remake the GS roster by trading for a player they do not want, and their coach does not want to play or pay. Wow
Something just is not right about this. We need to keep either Richards or Oso, at the very least. This is while not giving away any draft picks.

What was the reason to get rid of Monty again? Oh yeah, that guy we drafted rather than Doncic.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
Yep, with Williams' injury history, We've got to keep at least three of him, Maluach, Richards, and Oso. And it's not going to be the first two so only one of Richards or Oso is left. And I'm fine with keeping all four.JustWinBaby wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 3:57 pmI don't like giving up a shooter, and two bigs for Kuminga. Royce and Richards. That should be the offer and we shouldn’t budge.
I don’t even want to give up Grayson for him.
