Goodwin plays defense. He can’t guard a lawn chair. Pass.

I don't know. I thought the same, but he's wildly inconsistent still. He'd shoot 40% for 3 twice with Dallas who had a lot of players w/ gravity attached to them at the time, but then in Brooklyn he shoots 32% and last year 33% from 3. He also doesn't seem to be the playmaker he was. I would still trust him over Bradley and Goodwin to run an offense tho.
I have no idea why I said Bradley. One of my students asked me about Avery Bradley recently because he was throwing names at me to see if i could name teams random players played for. Lol. Or could be that I was thinking about Jaden Bradley & the UofA team which I was recently reading about. I obviously meant Butler.
Go Suns!

Wonder what changes are in store for the Sixers.

As much as I like Cam Payne, I'd rather have Goodwin. Payne wasn't great defensively from what I remember.

Payne's not the right fit for the team anymore. Love him, but he needs to be a change of pace energy guy for a young, upstart team like maybe the Magic or Pistons. Otherwise he might be a depth piece on some of the not-so-good teams or get squeezed out of the league altogether.

He can just wait until Monty Williams gets his next coaching gig.

Didn't Payne lie to police about his name after a domestic violence call? Something like that. I don't want that clown on my team ever again.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Yeah, I don't think Cam Payne is quite what we need on this young team. I still root for the guy but I wonder if he'll have trouble finding a team this year.

Terry Johnson won't stand for any such slander.

It could just be the schadenfreude talking, but I don't think KD will stay effective into his late 30s the way LeBron has. KD's body is much skinnier and more fragile, and he doesn't seem to put in a ton of gym or training time in the summer. LeBron spends millions on his body and fitness. I think KD has about one more really good season left, and then he will quickly decline. I would not want him on that contract. But we'll see.

Well he just turned 37. I think he's lost half a step but he can still get his own shot and shoot over everyone because of his height and length. The handles aren't as tight but the jumper isn't going anywhere. He could adjust his game ala Dirk and he's a better all around player than Melo right now. Just a matter of what kind of team he has around him.

Does Houston have the right guys to set up KD for easy open looks, though? Maybe FVV but he's badly injured. I think they may have similar offensive problems to what we had, with a ball-sticky offense and a lot of KD isos. They may fare better than we did because they have better defenders.

Not to mention he's a turnover machine.

Enough about previous players that didn't work out, let's focus on the players we do have. I'm quite excited, actually.

Yep, just so glad that ordeal is over. Moving on...
