Game Day: Pelicans (2-7) @ Suns (5-5), Mon 11/10/25

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Mortgage Matchup Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: AZ Family 3TV, NBALP

The Pelicans are off to a rough start to the season although they had won two in a row prior to losing to the Spurs last time out. The Suns will need to keep Trey Murphy III in check who went off for 41 against the Spurs. Suns will be missing Jalen Green for most likely at least 6-8 weeks after reinjuring his hamstring Saturday night in Inglewood. The Pelicans are without Zion Williamson and Jordan Poole.

We should win this one, just need to bring the same kind of effort, intensity and focus we’ve shown for the past few games.

Trap game. Do not look past these guys.

Shouldn't be a problem with our roster. They still have a lot to prove this season, but it's a temptation for every team.

Dammit! It's official then that Green is out, at least for this game.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Their rooks Fears and Queen have been looking good at times this season. Murphy and Jones are their go-to guys right now so we'll need to make sure we don't lose track of them.

Without Zion and Poole, they are missing two of their top three scorers. It's amazing how bad their roster is top-to-bottom when you look at it:

I like Trey Murphy and Herb Jones, maybe Grand Theft Alvarado, but not much else. P-U! What a stinker of a team. And their big men? Kevon Looney? DeAndre Jordan? This team has problems.

Yes. Do you know what the Saints and the Pelicans have in common? The same guy, Micky Loomis, runs both of them, and both teams absolutely have a dearth of talent.
Go Suns!

The Pelicans might be good if Zion were able to stay healthy and play consistently. But at this point it seems like this is what he is.

Feels like we're a little flat, hope we're not playing down to the Pels. Gotta bring the energy up, keep the ball moving. They're crowding the paint and we're not getting clean looks.

Better energy now with Dunn, CG and Richards in. Dunn with a great pass to Goodwin plus a 2hand slam. Richards as the backup center means no Oso for now.

Booker is having a great game already, scoring 11 points. And I like the way Brooks has played.

Who is Jeremiah Fears, and why is he kinda cooking us?

Told ya Fears and Queen are pretty good rooks.

I feel like this Matkovic guy had a good game against us last year.
