Around the NBA: Week 4 (11/10 - 11/16)
Re: Around the NBA: Week 4 (11/10 - 11/16)
I love the optimism and have been enjoying the win streak and team play, but we all should be measured in how we perceive the Suns current standing. The schedule has been fairly easy so far, so we all should be prepared for them to slip when it gets tougher. I still view the ceiling of the team being .500. I don't want to see anyone jump off a cliff when the inevitable losing streak happens.

Agreed. We play the very beatable Pacers tonight, then:Carno wrote: ↑Thu Nov 13, 2025 11:27 amI love the optimism and have been enjoying the win streak and team play, but we all should be measured in how we perceive the Suns current standing. We very well could go 1-4 in that stretch, and we shouldn't panic if so. We could also go nuts and win 3-2 or 4-1. We'll just have to see.

It's pretty simple. They didn't allow him to be "that guy." Same mistake the Suns made.

I liked that Booker was preaching something similar. Talking about how we were 8-1 last season before everything went to pot. No letting down. I agree with Carno that our ceiling is probably .500 ball. The only way I see us surpassing that is if we get healthy and stay that way. If Green can come back healthy for the rest of the season and Mark Williams continues to stay healthy, that would be a huge boon.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Thu Nov 13, 2025 11:41 amAgreed. Beloved former Sun Landry Shamet scores 36 (!) off the bench tonight for the Knicks.

Pelicans fire head coach Willie Green. Too bad for the guy, I always liked him when he was here with Monty. But that team is a disaster.

It's so crazy how tall Wemby is that Dray looking straight up at him to talk back is just comical.

That is super interesting, but I am a bit skeptical of the NBA doing a full investigation and holding itself and its own players and members accountable. I would be more interested if it were an outside entity doing the investigation.

There are too many people around these teams that have "insider info" for there not to be more instances of shady bets being made. It may not involve the players themselves but trainers, assistants or other team personnel who see the opportunity to make extra money each game. And the NBA is more likely to crack down on the little guys to make it look like they're keeping their own house in order because it's better than finding out about a name player and having to deal with that fallout.

Watch to the end or you'll Dunn miss it.

Feels like it's been a while since we've had Dunn's kind of athleticism on the break. Probably not since our dear Tsunami Papi was on the team. Mikal and Cam were great but not elite, above-the-rim athletes like Dunn.

I love Ryan, he’s my favorite player on the team right now. But really? That stat doesn’t pass the eye test. But I also haven’t watched every game.

I think like some of the other guys on the list he's cutting and dunking or finishing around the rim on a lot of plays. He's not hitting 80% on jumpers with a defender's hand in his face.
