That is an interesting pair of games to happen to miss.
Re: Suns News: Week 5 (11/17 - 11/23)
I have the same feeling. But maybe the other teams’ bench units tend to be more defensive focused?

Man, Goodwin continues to come up big for us. Do you think the Lakers are kicking themselves for letting him go?

Ime hasn’t really wronged him. If anything he should he motivated to beat the crap out of the Grizzlies any time he sees them, no?
Re: Suns News: Week 5 (11/17 - 11/23)
Lakers are too busy drinking the Luka Reaves kool aid and flushing out their nepo babies to care. My Laker friends are becoming insufferable again.
Re: Suns News: Week 5 (11/17 - 11/23)
Again? Did they ever stop being insufferable? The Lakers just barely snuck by the Jazz tonight. Ayton had 2 points and 3 rebounds in 13 minutes. Did he get hurt?

Well one of them told me last year that they paid too much to trade for Luka. Another one who didn’t know who Austin Reaves was last year is now telling me they beat the Spurs and that Adou Thiero is the steal of the draft even tho he has no idea who the Buss’s are. So yeah they are becoming intolerable again. There was a nice little quiet time when they all jumped off the wagon to do something else.

When did we hire Muscala?
Re: Suns News: Week 5 (11/17 - 11/23)
This summer to fill out Jordan Ott’s staff. It was posted at the time.

Ott’s got a tall task ahead of him distributing minutes when all the guards get healthy. A lot of deserving players and not a lot of minutes to go around.
Re: Suns News: Week 5 (11/17 - 11/23)
I'm not super worried about it. We have great chemistry right now and guys who are in different stages of their careers, O'Neale and Grayson have long term contracts and they won't sulk if they drop from 33 to 20-25 mpg, and Goodwin is the kind of journeyman who will accept any role but stay ready. I am not sure how extension deadlines work but I'd love to give both him and CG extensions at the earliest possible date and take away career uncertainties and to be able to plan for our own future as well.

Gotta win the ugly ones and this was mostly an ugly one. Book's in a slump but did turn it on later in the game. He also got to the line 11 times but should've been more, he just can't get a decent whistle. We mostly hustled to this win and had to since we only shot 44%. We took 20 more shots than the Spurs tho and surprisingly only committed 6 turnovers to their 19 so it was a very clean game from that perspective.
Goodwin impacted things well on both ends, CG has been our most steady player off the bench, Livers and Oso gave good minutes too. Thought we had some trouble containing Fox but he's a tough cover. Keldon Johnson's a guy who just finds ways to score and grab rebounds but generally we did well defensively. If we could've hit some shots or finished at the rim in the first half this game wouldn't have been as close.

Seemed everytime we would breathe on Fox he was shooting free throws. I felt like we defended him well and he would have finished with single digit points. He shot more FTs than out entire team. It was bullshit.ShelC wrote: ↑Mon Nov 24, 2025 6:04 amGotta win the ugly ones and this was mostly an ugly one. Book's in a slump but did turn it on later in the game. What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
