I'm really not too concerned about Book being out a bit. I love the guy but we played darned well without him and it might be good for him to sit on the bench and see how he might adapt his game a bit to this team. He currently tries to force things too much against double teams. I think he needs to learn to get rid of the ball sooner and wait for better opportunities that will come as a result.

Plus, he was struggling as it is. A little rest might do him good.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Jenner will massage the strains out of it.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Perspective from a fantasy league guy but still a valid point
Think schedule is so light because of NBA Cup
He will miss the rematch against Thunder

I’m worried Brooks is gonna come crashing down to earth with his shooting
He shot it well enough last year too, I wouldn't be too concerned.
Not on 2-pointers, which is where he’s shooting insane numbers.

Here’s where he was last yr vs this year from each range on bbref:

0-3 feet: 54.9% last year and 75.9% this year
3-10 feet: 47.5% to 53.2%
10-16 feet: 37.2% to 53.3%
16-22 feet: 48.1% to 52.0%
3pters: 39.7% to 32.0%

Pretty huge differences across the board. He’s shooting 57% overall on 2s when his career high was 49% before this year. The 2 point percentages are definitely going to come down, but hopefully that coincides with his 3 point percentages increasing.

Every player has a career year, which is a year that is better than their prior years. Also, his lower %'s weren't with the Suns. Playing for the Suns really improves players.

I don't think we should trade him.

I’m not saying we should trade him…just don’t expect him to keep shooting 57% from 2. Also, 57% from 49% isn’t just a career year…it’s a clear outlier.

Just think of this as a nice plus shooting month that corresponds to our success rather than Brooks being the new Ron Artest.

What is the deal with our schedule? Is it going to be hellish again after the new years or is everybody light coz of the IST?

Have we tried just enjoying the team instead of waiting for some axe to drop?

Fleming and Malauch helped the valley suns come from behind to win it in OT.

I’m very much enjoying the team…and I’ll still enjoy it even when Brooks comes back down to earth a bit.

I don’t know who Damian Baugh is, but that was a big shot to send it to OT…also I just learned that the g league does an Elam ending for OT. I’m all for that.

A monster put back from man man and a great baseline drive and dunk from Fleming in those highlights. Many hustle plays. Very encouraging

I watched the game. It was a lot of fun. Fleming deserves minutes on the big club - over NHD for sure - and you can see Maluach getting more comfortable by the G-League game. He still fumbles when he tries to do too much, like dribble-drives or catching the ball at full speed in transition, but he limited that kind of stuff in this game and was very effective at playing big. Actually made a couple of real nice catches on bad interior passes.

Fleming is turning out to be such a much different player than I expected based on the college tape. I thought we were getting more of a bruiser, but he's like a gazelle out there. I think it's a matter of time before he's a high 30%s player from 3 too. I do think they have him standing in the corner a bit too much in these games. They need to have him moving more often and I want to see how he does with some shot-creation opportunities.
