They play New Orleans twice, and will have to beat them both times to hold the tie-breaker with them.

They play Oklahoma City once and will have to beat them to even the season series.

If New Orleans finishes 8-7 over their last 15 they will finish at 44-38 and the Suns will have to go 10-5 and beat them both times to hold the tie-breaker or go 11-4 to win the 8th spot outright. (depending on what Oklahoma City does)

In the event of a three-way tie, New Orleans (21-15) and Oklahoma City (20-20) both have better conference records than the Suns (17-22) so the Suns would likely lose out there too.
That's a very long way of saying the Suns aren't making the playoffs this year!!!!
That's what I was thinking.

Much better effort tonight but we need a guy to take over in crunch time. Bledsoe has tbe talent butbis clearly disinterested in tbe role.

Yeah, Keef was a beast. The game turned around, I thought, when Bled lost his composure mid-way through the third. Started rushing everything. The passing fell apart.

That's the disease that's been hurting us all year - a lack of passing. I thought we were very good for the first half, and for the first half of the third quarter, in that regard.

PJ does not give up the ball easily enough, especially on the break. This is what's frustrating about Hornacek. TJ passes. PJ doesn't. The problem with the team is we don't pass enough. But rather than play the player who passes, he plays the player who doesn't and encourages him to pass. Boo.

Anyone else see that play in the third where Thornton had the ball, Hornacek told him to give it to Archie (the point guard) in the half court set, and Thornton got mad and hung his head the rest of his time? Not exactly a team player. Get that bum off the court.

Alex spraining his ankle - okay, that's three. I don't understand the obsession with rushing guys with bad ankles back to the court. Haven't these guys ever sprained an ankle? Sure, you can play on it, but it takes a while to really heal. Ask yourselves, "What's the worst that could happen?" Let the man rest.

The Suns fall out of the race for the 8th spot, fall further down and possibly fall into a position where you could draft another C? Once they acquire enough good young athletes and players, I really hope that they eventually put a pg or offense around them that stresses passing, ball movement, and good movement without the ball. They probably need another athletic big or two, IMO.

I'm worried about Len's durability. Maybe they need to just keep him out for the rest of the season this time to make sure that ankle heals up properly.

I thought he demonstrated great durability throughout most of the year - it was that one really bad fall that made the ankle vulnerable. Then they kept putting him out there. Keep strengthening, maybe adjust to the fact that Len's not an above-the-rim athlete, and treat the ankle problems with the seriousness they merit.

Okay, okay, I'd rather have Gobert :(

I trust the training staff to figure this out and make it a focus, whether that means holding him out for the rest of the season or letting him come back so that he gets more experience. I'm a little worried that it keeps happening, and that usually means that it's still a little too weak.

Stepping on somebody's foot is something that just happens. I don;t think it's an indication of his (lack of) durability.

I think very public proposals like this are just a little to self-indulgent.

On the part about PJ vs TJ. Hornacek has called out TJ about missing defensive assignments. I'm better that is what is going on. I'm with you in that I would rather see TJ with 25 mpg and cut down Marcus and PJ to accommodate. I just think there are reasons behind the seeming madness.

And, per my wife the athletic trainer, one of the absolute, a-number one worst ways to sprain your ankle there is. Bruce Bowen should have been fined and suspended for doing it repeatedly.
