Game Day: Suns (33-25) vs Celtics (37-19), Tue 2/24

Post by Kryptonic »

Time: 7:00pm AZ
Place: Mortgage Matchup Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: Arizona's Family 3TV / Arizona's Family Sports, NBALP

The Suns are coming off a rough weekend with a double OT thriller won on a Jalen Green buzzer beater on Saturday vs. the Magic where they lost Dillon Brooks with a broken hand, while still playing shorthanded without Devon Booker. Sunday was a brutal loss, where we only scored 77pts with a shorthanded squad that was also without Grayson Allen. The Celtics are coming to town after winning their last 7 games! Fingers crossed the Suns can pull one out!

Is Jaylen Brown playing tonight ? He was listed as questionable

Hopefully Grayson Allen plays tonight. If the Suns defend well and Jalen Green has a breakout game, there's a chance they win tonight.

Without Goodwin, there is no defensive tenacity and energy off the bench.
His absence is almost as crucial as Booker and Brooks.

Hope the Celtics will have some mercy and play the JV lots in the second half.
A fun team to watch again. A trade or two away from being a serious contender...

You know how they’d give away free tacos if the suns made so many free throws back in the day? They should give half off tickets to a future game if the home team gets blown out by 25 points lol

Sounds like a when an airline has a flight when people get injured and offers them free future flights as compensation

Dunn with 7-5-2 after 1st quarter. Suns up 26-21, holding Boston to 32% shooting. Great start!

We're playing with some juice tonight. Green's been awful just ISOing and killing clock, but we've been playing really well with everyone else. We need CG to be aggressive and try for 20+ points a night until Book is back. He got to look for his own shot and has been so far. Grayson helping out getting into the paint but some questionable shots too. He's shaking off some rust. Coffey may be in line for more minutes.

Green picking up where Brooks left off and I mean that in the worst way possible.

Grayson be makin the dumbest passes sometimes

These Boston announcers are pure garbage. Crimes against humanity are committed by the Suns every possession apparently.

Our shot selection without Book’s orchestrating is really bad.

0 points 2 rebounds and - 10 at half.

Have a talk with this man. He's too big to play so poorly

Disappointing 2nd quarter after such a strong 1st. Derrick White is going nuts, hitting some crazy shots over us; he has 18. Grayson's shooting is really bad, 1-7, but he has 7 FTs already. CG, Dunn, Royce, Coffey all playing well. Was nice to see Fleming play but he didn't give much in his 9 minutes. I agree with the comment that the offense is tough to watch without Book and Brooks. Green seems like a mixed bag; he made some nice shots and plays but often played out of control and had some ugly plays. I think he'll be much better by Book's side rather than trying to be our main offensive initiator.

Suns getting contributions from a number of players.
As for Williams, he may be a bit fatigued -- this is his 54th game. He played 44 last year, total.

Hope Pritchard remains cold for the Celtics.
