Suns play the Lakers in LA Friday night in a game meaningless to both. No Luka. No Book. Hopefully we get a big dose of Man Man, Fleming, and Dunn.

How is it meaningless to the Lakers? They're tied with Houston and only one game back of Denver with two to play, and it's still mathematically possible for them to finish with the third, fourth, or fifth seed. I guess it's meaningless if they don't care at all about their playoff position.Superbone wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2026 1:10 amTime: 7:30 pm AZ (7:30 pm PT / 10:30 pm ET)

Definitely meaningless for us since we are locked into the 7 seed. Play the young guys and don't care who wins. 40 min for Maluach and Fleming!

We still haven't figured out the Booker - Green - Brooks lineups, so I want to see Ott try some different looks tonight. I don't personally have any easy answers.
in Ott we trust

Yeah, and F the Lakers.

It's not easy but my answer is to stagger Booker and Green. I don't think there is some big advantage to playing them at the same time.

They didn't rest people last night in Golden State (unlike the Warriors). They're shorthanded with injuries, but their starters all played 30 minutes plus. If they don't sit a bunch of people for this back-to-back, then they're still playing like they care.Superbone wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2026 2:26 amLakers’ NBA playoff seeding no longer priority entering final stretchBKinSJC wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2026 1:45 amHow is it meaningless to the Lakers? I look forward to the starting center matchup of Maluach vs Ayton. At least that's my hope. Rest Williams. But seeing as he's not on the injured list, he's probably starting. Even so, Man Man should get a lot of time.

Here ya go, @BKinSJC:
Interestingly enough, the Suns are currently 1.5 point favorites and it was 2.5 the previous time I looked.

Why risk Williams in a meaningless game other than embarrassing Ayton. But let MM and Huntley that. Kinda wish Brea could get some time so we can see what he looks like.

The Dunn consecutive FT misses streak is over! Mark it down with 29.6 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter.

Big surprise. Grayson Allen is injured again.

That was a brutal watch.
Brooks was point shaving.
Bunnz (h/t Saucy) was awful. -39. Zero impact on either end. Super disappointing.
Williams was soft as he has been recently.
Grayson had his usual “I’ve played 3 straight games, now I need a few off” injury.
Brea not an NBA playa.
Bouyea has low key been atrocious since his concussion. Went from 50/34/73 shooting pre-ASB to 33/13/67 post-ASB before accounting for his 1-7 night. He’s scared to shoot 3s and can’t finish at the rim. He used to be automatic at the basket. Happy for him that he got his contract. If this is what we’re getting, I hope his option is declined.

I only watched the first half because Blazers v. Clips was far more worthy of my attention.
Two Dunn things stood out to me in the first half, both indicators of confidence. First was Grayson completely ignored him on an obvious swing pass to him in the corner when he was wide open, like shootaround practice 3 open. Grayson definitely knew he was there and didn't even consider a pass fake.
Second was Dunn just not at all willing to challenge guys near the rim with a shot. He noped out of a shot attempt in the way I'd expect from a rookie player. Really disappointing.
