Hello ladies and gents. Long time no see. I missed the ability to vote on this pole, but I'm going to roll with 45 wins and a play in tournament birth.
Good to see you, Gene! How have you been? What's the latest?

In terms of your prediction, what makes you so rosey about the 2025-26 Suns? What do you especially like about the team that gives you a positive outlook? (I myself voted for a lower total because I think we have too many rookie/young pieces and too much positional overlap to be a playoff / play-in team right out of the gate, but still hoping for the best.)
The Suns should be better defensively this year. They have a player in Jalen Green that could penetrate and get to the basket and to the free throw line. They've got plenty of shooters. Like you, I am concerned about the young pieces and the fact that there's probably too many wings (one may get traded by the trading deadline). My last concern is do they have a low post presence ? Nick Richards is just okay there and we'll see what Mark Williams has to offer.

I'm excited for media day next week and training camp.

I wanna be optimistic and vote for 45 games or more. We need to get our guys healthy and see where this team can go.

I voted 33-35…I’d probably vote 40-44 now, but won’t be surprised with 45 or more

I voted "22-27 games" and obviously that has proven to be extremely wrong. We're currently at a 49-win pace, and that's after front-loading most of the toughest stretches of the season. I'd really like to see what we look like once Green comes back from his injury. With him in the lineup, the sky's the limit.

50. I think we are being set up for a big time surprise. If they commit to playing hard defense every time down the floor and running off of every turnover or block, the team's supposed weaknesses magically disappear.
I think i will take some credit here.

I picked 42 initially, couldn't be happier with the progress, just hated watching the process. Ugly basketball a lot of the time this year.

Wow, only 2 out of 24 got it with what was the most optimistic vote choice. Although it would have been 8 if we had lost yesterday. Glad we got that win though. It was a feel good win and showed that our youth has a lot of promise!

And the winner is......

Uncle Gene!

He was the only one to nail the win total. He didn't quite make the polling window but early September is early enough. So, we would have had 3 people choose 45+ had he gotten his vote in in time. But congrats on nailing the win total exactly! Wow!

He even got the play-in tournament birth right.

I don't think I voted but maybe in another post I figured 32-35 wins, glad to see they more than exceeded those expectations. We easily could've had 48-50 wins if we didn't blow a bunch of games or get hit with injuries. Still don't like how we're ending the season but hopefully we've at least laid the foundation and can build on this for next year.

Congrats to Uncle Gene and the two others who gave optimistic predictions for the season. You were right! We were much better than the pundits and general public thought we would be. I was dead wrong; I picked 22-27 games and felt pretty good about my prediction after the first week or two of play. But then something clicked and we developed a great chemistry, effort, and toughness, and the wins followed. Credit to Coach Ott, to Dillon Brooks for setting the tone and culture, for Book as our leader and best player, and for so many other guys who vastly exceeded expectations: Gillespie, Goodwin, Williams, Oso, Grayson Allen, Fleming, and others. The FO nailed a lot of our FA acquisitions and bench depth, which turned into a great strength for us, both when the starters were on the bench and when the injuries started to hit.

Sadly we seem to have peaked in the mid-season a bit and have fallen off from there down the stretch. And we have an iffy play-in ahead of us, and a likely first-round massacre even if we do win a play-in game. And we have few draft picks for the next 5-6 years, and some big FA questions for the summer. But all of that doesn't take away from what an overwhelmingly successful season this has been. Kudos to the whole team!

Congrats Uncle Gene!

While they didn't quite win 50, I am still very happy with the progress this year. Just let the young guys grow together.
