Books presser afterwards calling out the refs was amazing and dead on. Good for him. It was done as tasteful as one could do while eating spoonfuls of shit for 48 minutes.

Suns should complain loudly about the officiating, fines be damned. The only chance we have is to publicly embarrass the refs and the league to the point that they actually do it differently in Games 3 and 4. We still don't have a great chance, but last night was actually a close enough game that fair officiating might have made the difference.

Chris Finch went ballistic on the refs earlier in the year, got tossed and called them out and for a while the refs seemed to start calling OKC games differently but that's gone away now. Ott is still giving PR answers, maybe he doesn't feel he's got the experience or rep to speak out so he's just focusing on his own team.
Still don't think anything will change tho. If Silver or someone from the Refs Association addresses anything or changes are made, it'll be admitting there was a problem. Maybe the refs get the message and call things a bit more evenly but things are still going to be skewed in OKC's favor. The league wants its best teams battling it out. They don't want the #8 seed Suns taking the Thunder to a tough 6 games which might affect the next series. And there's no change they'll let the 8 seed upset the 1 seed.

FWIW reddit is loudly complaining about how ridiculous the officiating has been in our series.

I’m happy Book said something, but it will stay the same. I know people who haven’t watched the NBA since the ‘90s because of the officiating.

Good for Booker! So respectful and matter of factly. The result should be the league addressing this in a professional manner but they will probably fine him heavily and Green too since he was shaking his head in agreement to Booker. And you know it was bad if Doris was calling it out too. She is such an OKC fan boy that I was getting sick listening to her and almost turned off the sound but by the second half she was saying these calls were ridiculous.

So, what do you think? $100,000? Whatever it is, it was worth it and Book can afford it. Something had to be said. Good to know that opposing players can ask for a tech to be called and then the ref will reciprocate. We know we're way overmatched and have injuries to key players. Why not just ref it fairly and see if the Suns can make a series out of it. OKC doesn't need extra help.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.
