It’s only as good as the programming. If they program like it the refs to favor the Thunder, then it will.

OKC vs Spurs, Game 7, is tonight at 5pm on NBC/Peacock. Maybe the most intense and hyped game of the playoffs. Who you got?

I thought his hire was one of the dumbest coaching moves I've seen and just a clown show on the part of the Knicks. Credit to him and to the Knicks.
NBA Draft 2026: Quadir Copeland. Nick Martinelli. Trey Kaufman-Renn. Graham Ike.

Yeah, I still think the finals will expose him

He and the Knicks have undeniably done well. But they have had an easy path to the Finals. They didn't really face any scary teams in any of these 3 rounds. And they almost lost out to the profoundly mediocre Hawks. If they win the title, I retract my statement, but I think that is unlikely.

I would push back on almost losing to the Hawks…the Hawks won two games and did it by a single point each time. The Knicks are 2 baskets away from 12-0…they have the number 1 rated offense and the number 1 rated defense in the playoffs. They have destroyed everyone. Yes the east isn’t very good, but I wouldn’t discredit them as a team. I’ll still expect the west winner to win the title, but I think the Knicks are better than any of the west teams already out. And who knows…

Chet needs to get in the gym and lift some weights. Amazing to me that an NBA player wants to stay that skinny. He got completely bodied by Wemby and was scared the rest of the series. Enjoy that $250m contract.

Chet certainly isn't the first player to shit the bed in a big game (I remember Dennis Johnson shot 0 for 14 in game 7 of the 1978 Finals), but if he's one of their best players and playing 33 minutes he has to contribute more than 4 points and 4 rebounds.

As Walt Frazier once said - "The regular season is where you make your name, but the postseason is where you make your fame."

Sure, having a great game against a Washington or Sacramento is one thing, but if you lay an egg in a big game that's what fans will remember until you perform in an equally big game. (I think we're all waiting for the Suns to prove themselves after getting smoked in elimination games by Dallas and Denver in successive years in games where they trailed by 30+ at halftime)
