LMAO, I love the Chuckster. How many people, in 2026, could get away with talking like that? Somehow it isn't even offensive, it's just funny. I love what a kick Shaq and Kenny get out of it, too.

Well, there's that maturity and experience Shel warned us about.

With the combo of Knicks size and defensive skill on the perimeter plus the Spurs lack of size and shooting, I expect 3 pointers will be tough all series. SA will adjust and get to the rim more in the next game.

On the other side of the ball, we're going to see a big shooting night from KAT at some point.

I think people have been sleeping on the Knicks because they are in the East.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Easy to dismiss their competition when the Knicks won so big. Can't be because they are legit.

No. It was tight throughout with the Spurs taking the early lead and the Knicks pulling away at the end. Still anybody's series. Spurs have to win game 2 though.

Even though I make a decent amount of money if the Spurs win, I'm rooting for the Knicks. The Spurs have won enough in my lifetime. Not only that, they prevented my team from winning it all. It’s weird to know that in their storied history, the Knicks have only won two championships in the early 70s.

Don't want to start a political argument, but it is interesting to hear that the President will attend Game 3 in New York. Will be interesting to see what kind of reaction he gets from the always raucous New York crowd.

Here's another interesting mini-story. ESPN seems to have used AI to touch up a photo of Tony Parker that they showed during yesterday's Game 1. But in the process it seems to have totally changed Tony's face into one that doesn't look like him! I am pretty mixed-to-negative about current-gen AI and this seems like a bit of an embarrassment. Don't see why they needed to use AI to modify the existing photo which looked fine to me.

My comment was sarcastic and unclear, but I meant that the Knicks were dismissed prior to game one after winning so many in a row. Lots of people talking about how the East sucks and Harden always disappears etc instead of giving credit to the Knicks good play.

Gotcha. I'll tell you one thing, this is a great series so far. It's intense. I was very surprised by the number of NY fans in attendance. They had a very noticeable presence that came across strongly through the broadcast. I mean, I get the Hollywood contingent sitting courtside since they have the big bucks like Ben Stiller and Turturro. Sounded like a Suns/Lakers game in Phoenix. I guess SA is relatively poor and couldn't turn down the big bucks for their season tickets and I'm sure the scalpers were in full force.

Anyway, this series is going to set some viewing records as there is some very good basketball being played as well as the curiosity of Wemby across the country combined with the huge NY market.

Game 2, tonight at 5:30pm PST. Looking forward to this one. Must-win for the Spurs, IMO; if the Knicks take both games in SA, it's basically over. I think Wemby is going to have a monster game and score 30+, bunch of rebounds and blocks. He isn't going to hang his head after that tough Game 1 loss.

I am also curious to see what happens with Dylan Harper vs DeAaron Fox. Fox made some crucial mistakes down the stretch in Game 1, arguably costing the Spurs the game. I bet Harper was pissed about being stuck behind him in the rotation when he's likely the better player.

Landry Shamet, where the fuck was this when you played for the Suns?? Like, when did you decide to finally put arc on your shot?

What a mental fart by Wenbamyama, they got the crucial rebound after Brunson’s miss just to gave it back. Castle is not an innocent bystander here, because their most important possession it’s unfolding and he lost eyes on the ball.

Inexperience and lack of resilience played a big role here, as going from the aggressive underdog to heavy favorite seemed to much to handle for the kids once the ball stopped bouncing on their favor and felt the heat from an even more ravenous underdog.

Wow. Stunned. The Knicks have really taken care of business, and the Spurs look like lost young boys out there. Age and experience paying off over a young team that looks happy and surprised to be there.
