How are my preseason predictions shaping up so far?

http://espn.go.com/nba/standings

Here are the teams I was most wrong about so far:

1 LA Clippers <-- wrong
2 Golden State Warriors
3 San Antonio Spurs
4 Oklahoma City Thunder
5 Houston Rockets
6 Memphis Grizzlies <-- wrong
7 Phoenix Suns
8 New Orleans Pelicans
Portland Trailblazers <-- wrong
Dallas Mavericks <-- wrong
Sacramento Kings
Denver Nuggets
Minnesota Timberwolves
Utah Jazz
LA Lakers

And in the East:

1 Cleveland Cavaliers <-- wrong
2 Chicago Bulls
3 Washington Wizards
4 Toronto Raptors
5 Charlotte Hornets <-- wrong
6 Detroit Pistons <-- wrong
7 Atlanta Hawks
8 Miami Heat
Milwaukee Bucks <-- wrong
Orlando Magic
Indiana Pacers
Brooklyn Nets
New York Knicks
Boston Celtics
Philadelphia 76ers

I was "wrong" on several others, of course, but I'm just trying to highlight ones I was way off about, like many spots off in the standings.

I thought Portland would have more trouble but basically I was banking on injuries. Didn't expect Sacto to be as competitive as they are. SAS started slow and LAC is doing some soul searching but I think they'll finish better than #5 and 7. I believe Houston can't sustain their ridiculous efficiency. Poor OKC can't have health even to its backups.
CLE-CHI
WAS-CHA-ATL-TOR
MIA-BKY-NY
MIL-ORL
DET-IND
BOS-PHI
This has been a clusterfuck at the top. Charlotte, Cleveland and Chicago are killing me, but the Cavs and Bulls have to straight the ship, right?

Ugh, you asshole.
We end up with the #14 pick when NO jumps in the lottery, and Philly gets the Lakers' #6 pick.

you feel more wrong about your cleveland prediction than the atlanta one? i don't think anybody predicted that and their top ranking must be among the biggest surprises of the season...

personally i probably would've called anyone that predicted top 3 finish for atlanta in pre-season crazy, so ... shows how much i know.

MY PREDICTIONS:
West
1 LA Clippers
2 Golden State Warriors
3 San Antonio Spurs
4 Oklahoma City Thunder <-- OOPS
5 Houston Rockets
6 Memphis Grizzlies
7 Phoenix Suns <-- OOPS
8 New Orleans Pelicans
Portland Trailblazers <-- OOPS
Dallas Mavericks <-- OOPS
Sacramento Kings
Denver Nuggets
Minnesota Timberwolves
Utah Jazz
LA Lakers <-- LOL

Commentary: I really want to rank the Warriors #1. I think Kerr will be a breath of fresh air, and that Klay will be out to prove to everybody that he was worth keeping. I think they'll have a huge upward jump this year. But the Clips have continuity and they're hungry and in their prime. DeAndre Jordan has been quietly improving every year. Blake is finally a really complete basketball player. They seem ready.

I put the Spurs 3rd not out of disrespect, but just because I know they don't play at 100% during the regular season and pace themselves for the playoffs.

I think KD's injury and a lack of depth will hurt the Thunder this year.

I think the Kings will lose a lot but will show a lot of promise and will be better than their record.

The Lakers suck.
Well, I got some things right. The Warriors were awesome and I knew they would be. The Thunder did struggle with injuries and slipped back, but it was even more than I thought. And I had the Lakers pegged at dead last in the West, LOL.

East

1 Cleveland Cavaliers
2 Chicago Bulls
3 Washington Wizards
4 Toronto Raptors
5 Charlotte Bobcats <-- OOPS
6 Detroit Pistons <-- OOPS
7 Atlanta Hawks <-- OOPS
8 Miami Heat
Milwaukee Bucks
Orlando Magic
Indiana Pacers
Brooklyn Nets
New York Knicks
Boston Celtics <-- OOPS
Philadelphia 76ers
I underrated the Hawks (as did almost everybody) and way underrated the Celtics. I care less about the East anyway.

I love that with only 5 games left, and only 30 wins, Detroit is not officially out of the playoff picture.
