I like that Len now has a real centre/NBA player to practise his moves against instead of Earl Baron

I thought Harrellson was pretty well known from his time with the Knicks. The Knicks fans came up with that name despite the fact that Josh claims he's never worn them. His twitter handle is @BigJorts55 though. McConnell may not have a nickname. I think some were just calling him Mickey Mouse over at RealGM cause he's short and named Mickey.
I thought I heard on the broadcast yesterday that Mickey is actually a nickname. His first name is Richard.

Clever. I might have to nick that.

Overall I am very pleased with summer league. TJ had showed his worth without dominating the ball so much that no one else gets a chance. After a rough start shooting the three DBook has settled and is performing extraordinarily well. Harrelson is showing promise.

I've actually liked everyone on our Summer League team except for McNeal (who we used to have under contract - he was waived Friday.) The 13 we have on our current roster is likely who we're going into the season with though. They'll probably keep the last 2 spots open in case we need to make a trade or sign someone after injury.

Bledsoe/Price
Knight/Weems/Goodwin/Booker
Tucker/Warren
Markieff/Teletovision/Leuer
Chandler/Len

We are not depleted in talent, actually very well rounded at every spot, except for the obvious lack of a bonafide Star. I can see the FO perspective, but as long as they keep missing on adding that engine, we are a very nice collection of spare parts. Some of them expensive ones.

But I can cheer for this guys, unlike last year, specially if someone keeps Tucker away from playing heroball.

If we were to move Tucker & Markieff for an upgrade at PF & shift Weems to SF so we could get Booker real minutes I would be very happy where we are as a roster.

Totally agreed, in fact, I wonder who could disagree with it. Not sure who could be afforded with this package, maybe even including a pick.

The easiest solution to Tucker and hero ball is to bring him off the bench. I love how Warren lets the game come to him.

Packaging multiple players for superior players is more easily said than done. Everybody knows you win by having the best players, not the most players. Who is likely to want to downgrade from a superior PF to Markieff just for the privilege of having PJ Tucker under contract for one season?

I think the trick is to either target a disgruntled star, which, at the moment I'm not sure if there really is one (maybe Demarcus Cousins?), or try to get young assets and draft picks from a team that is looking to contend sooner rather than later.

I think for us the goal is to develop a culture of winning and hope that some of our young guys can grow into that star, or become an attractive enough team to get a star to sign with us. That's why I think if you can get rid of guys, especially veterans, who haven't been the right kind of mentors for the younger players (like Markieff and PJ), you go for it. But you're right, it's all easier said than done.

It would be nice to upgrade but I just don't think it is going to happen this off season. I do have hopes that Kieff will get over Marcus moving and maybe have an amazing year. If the vets can get him to actually put effort in on defense and rebounding. If he just works harder on those things he is someone we won't want to trade.

As for Booker he only really needs to outplay Weems and Goodwin. I would say he probably is easily past Goodwin just based on being able to hit a three point shot. :)

If Booker can come in and work hard on defense I think he will get time this year. I could easily see him and Weems splitting the minutes left at the guard position.

The opportunity is definitely there since our third guard is a guy just happy to have a contract in the league. Unlike last year where players like Goodwin were buried behind 3 big name guards.
