He got around 3 rebounds a game knocked out of his hands, when he looked like it was clearly his in the summer league games he played. If he can significantly improve his hands, it will add another 2-3 rebounds to his total per game. Also, he seems to get boxed out easily and kept from getting to some rebounds that I thought he should have gotten. Spin moves, better anticipation, and being quicker to crashing the boards and getting position would also be a big help for him.

Agreed. But I would add that he was aggressively going after boards (even ones he didn't get), which is a nice change to see from our bigs.

I wanted that too.

Anderson reminds me of Walt Williams, an oversized guard who played with the Kings, Rockets and a few other teams. Could distribute, hit from behind the arc and rebound.
I loved Walt Williams. His knees kept him from capitalizing on his potential. He started off with a lot more athleticism than Anderson has.

Even with bad knees, he was a smart, solid pro who played well with some mediocre teams. When he was drafted, he was being compared to Magic. Unlike other wannabes, he actually justified the comparison. While he wasn't quite as shifty and creative in open court, WW was a far better shooter than Magic at that juncture in his career.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

Yeah, that was pretty funny. Right next to Hornacek too. The broadcasters even commented on it not being a good idea.

He deserves a shot to be on the roster. He improved all summer league long.

And offense around the basket. He settles for the jumper far too frequently.

Agree on his hands. His body is getting to the point where he can regularly be the biggest and strongest on the court, no question. But if he can't secure the pass or the board, it only helps a little.
Alex Len averaged 9.8 rpg in summer league in 24 minutes per game. Alex loves the tap out as well and usually does it 3 or more times per game. Those do not get counted as offensive rebounds. If he averages 25 mpg this season, I am expecting double digit rebounds.
He is going to get SO much out of working with Tyson Chandler.

If nothing else it should improve his pick and roll game. I can't tell if it is Alex just not getting in the right spot or the guards throwing crappy passes. That should all be cleared up after they run with Tyson for a bit.

Bledsoe only throws crappy passes. So that is cleared up. But Alex doesn't make it easy on him either.

Becky Hammon is a trail blazer!

Not the Portland kind.

The Arizona Cardinals just hired a female coach.
