Cousins (24.1/12.7)
Aldridge (23.4/10.2)
Davis (24.4/10.2)

That's it! A couple others were close: Gasol (18.5/11.8), Vucevic (19.3/10.9)
I'm not talking about averaging that every night. I mean capable of giving you that any night. It's different. Keef probably didn't do that 5 times all year.

Where Keef is lacking is offensive rebounding. Otherwise, he fits that definition exactly.

As a comparison, Serge Ibaka averaged 6.2 DRB per 36, Blake Griffin 5.8 and Morris 5.5.

Edit: 6.7 for Teletovic, which is a very good sign.

The key here is the quality of rebounds, not just amount.

Kieff only grabs contested rebounds at a 36% clip, which puts him around 150th in the league among players with more than 20 games and 15mpg. His defensive rebounding rate is 17, placing him exactly at 155 overall. Simply too poor to be acceptable.

And if you think Teletovic will give us something there, fat chance. He is basically at Frye's level, since his DRB% is healthier at 21%, but only around 29% come from contested situations.

The boards will be a job for Chandler-Len, PJ and Bledsoe.

By the way, I see a certain amount of optimism about Teletovic. I certainly don't share it but I hope it is granted.

I don't think Teletubby is a game-changer, but he'll probably hit a few big shots for us here and there. Decent signing for the price. Also, and this is big with me, he's not another knucklehead.

I think those are good points, especially the last one.I just don't think he will move the bar much, if at all. Others seem to really value him here, so I hope they are right and I am wrong.

Good point regarding the quality of rebounds. And there is a lot of optimism about Teletovic. I wonder if he'll end up a Frye kind of guy, who doesn't necessarily hit at a high rate but still spaces effectively.

Don't get too attached to T. There's probably a reason we signed him to a one-year contract.

The salary cap bonanza, as he is looking for a better deal next year, either with us or another team?
One-year deals are not necesarily for stop gaps in the current situation around the league.

And isn't he coming back from a medical condition that could have ended his career (if not killed him)? You don't double down on that.

Unless you're the Orlando Magic.
