Of course it is. If he wouldn't have come out publicly and said "I am not going to play there anymore" we wouldn't have been forced to trade him before the season started. We likely would have let things blow over to not get such a bad deal. Now we are desperate, but the value will only go down the longer this draws out. So we have to make a move, or eat the contract. I don't see us eating the contract. I am betting Sarver is having lawyers pour over his character clauses to see if we can void the contract.Superbone wrote:Me too. We'll get something of value for him. His contract is too good. There will be teams looking to gamble.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

What leverage do we have? We literally gave away his brother for nothing, before a trade demand. I know he isn't half as good, but his contract was almost nothing too.Superbone wrote:We'll get something of value for him. His contract is too good. There will be teams looking to gamble.
We chose poorly.

There's both positive and negative leverage with a public trade demand. Teams will try and steal him because they know we probably need to trade him, but if Markieff is a desired player at all, then every interested team needs to bid against one another.

What is the guess on what we get back? Is the over-under at expiring player and 1Rd pick (15-25)?Shabazz wrote:There's both positive and negative leverage with a public trade demand. I think the Toronto suggestion (Patterson + something else) is a pretty reasonable guess.Indy wrote:What is the guess on what we get back? My dream scenario is still Ibaka. I would do Markieff/Len/+ for Ibaka/McGary. But that's just fansterbation.

Do him a favor - trade him to his horseshit hometown team. Philadelphia.
I do think Markieff has much more value than Marcus - he's a better player, he's a better value and he has less serious charges against him.
The Detroit deal was basically just to dump Marcus, they won't be making a similar deal with Markieff. They will have to get some value in return.

Can we trade him to the Lakers please? Would love to play him 4 times a year in the same division.

Kevin Pelton really did the Suns a favor. What the Suns needed was to start a bidding war for Keef. And the rumors seem to be propagating outwards from Pelton's article:

Keep the rumors rolling in and the Suns just might get the decent return that we'd want.

Sullinger, Young and PJ3? Plus a 1stR? Ainge must be incredibly desperate if he is willing to do that. Total steal for Phoenix, at least until it is time to pay Sullinger.
I'd take David Lee, one prospect and a pick for Kieff and Tucker.

I have no interest in James Young, but would definitely do that trade. I am a big Sullinger fan, wanted us to draft him.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Sullinger is finally vowing to lose weight. In a contract year. Beware.

He seems to be doing a good job at it, but agreed. That, plus his back issues, could make his contract a real problem for whoever ends up paying it. I wanted him at the draft too, but if he was on the table, I'd try to work out a three way trade to find a taker.
Re: Morris twins charged with felony assault
It's probably all in the hips, fixing his back issue. At least that's what I expect the Suns trainers to say. Although, it seemed to take RLopez awhile to fix the issues in his back when he was here.Ring_Wanted wrote:He seems to be doing a good job at it, but agreed. I hope that the Suns get a great deal for Markieff. I would love to see Vonleh or Randle.

The reason that the Morri couldn't endure themselves to the fans is because they felt entitled and never felt like they were self-aware or could be introspective and take responsibility for their failures and mistakes. Sounds like the previous regime.

Re: Morris twins charged with felony assault
I would do it without the 1stR, if that the problem, intrigued by PJ3, then Young, and Sullinger we better flip him for a pick if he comes in shape on his contract year. PF by comitee, good riddance Morris babies.Ring_Wanted wrote:Sullinger, Young and PJ3? Plus a 1stR? Ainge must be incredibly desperate if he is willing to do that. If we are taking DLee, then I would ask for PJ3 and a mid round pick.

Re: Morris twins charged with felony assault
Maybe the back is fixable, or at least it can be alleviated like they did with Nash, but he also broke his foot although got back sooner than expected, apparently at full strength. Regardless, as a big man that means entering dangerous territory especially when so prone to being overweight.In2ition wrote:It's probably all in the hips, fixing his back issue. The thing is that I don't want to gamble a new age PF-C contract on his health and commitment to staying in shape.

I'm not really interested in Sullinger.
