NBA Regular Season, opening night!

Post by Mori Chu »

The NBA is back, baby! Three games on tonight:

* Detroit vs. Atlanta, 5pm Pacific.
* Cleveland vs. Chicago, 5pm Pacific (TNT).
* Golden State vs. New Orleans, 7:30pm Pacific (TNT).

Who's gonna be watching? Let's post in here during the games. So psyched to have the NBA back for a new season!

I'll be watching on "tape" delay. Excited to have the NBA back.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

It's Fantastic!
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

i hope some of your enthusiasm rubs off on me mori. the last few years i really haven't had much of anything to celebrate. few storylines in the league play out the way i want them to. even the lakers have talent and hope...

If I'm the optimist around here, we're doomed. :-) I think we'll make the playoffs, but I'm still kind of bummed about our low ceiling and future prospects.

Chicago and the mayor beat Cleveland by 2. The newly minted $82 Million man: 25 min, 2 points, 12 rebounds. Rose: 18 points on 22 shots.

carey: Just came in here to post that. Both teams looked a little rusty to me. I enjoyed the fast-break where Lebron ran down, blindly passed it over his shoulder to a teammate, then found that no teammates had run back with him. Turnover. Is it wrong that I love seeing Lebron lose so much? And, enjoy $82 million of Tristan Thompson, Cleveland!

I feel the same way. It may be wrong, but it just feels like something went right in the world when he loses.

Andre Drummond is a beast. 18 points, 19 boards. That's a big man. Wish we had a single player on our team with even close to the potential of a guy like that.

Boy, that Pistons team doesn't have much depth. SVG is playing only 9 guys already, leaning a lot on his starters.

The Pelicans just started Kendrick Perkins. He also just scored twice. I just had to check if I time traveled backwards.

LOL. Kendrick Perkins is somehow leading the Pelicans in scoring. Now that's a banged-up team.

Curry already has 17 points in the first quarter. Love watching this Warriors team.

Curry is already the best shooter ever and I'm not sure it's even close.

The only PGs the Pelicans have available are Ish Smith and Nate Robinson. Ish was just signed days ago and Nate last week. Ish has 11 in the quarter.

my fantasy team just got off to something like a 30% fg day.

why is drummond's fg% so low? for a 7' 270 lb athletic freak, that seems astonishing to me.

Kent Bazemore didn't score and turned the ball 4 times. Of course he won't be that terrible every game, but the Hawks are going to miss Demarre badly. Also missed a ton of threes, including Korver. This has been said already, but Schroder is the new Tony Parker. Van Gundy has a very clear vision of what he wants out of his team and his personnel, if not flashy, is well cut for his system.

did you watch the game? this is highly uncharacteristic for AD, to say the least... 5 turnovers? did draymond green bear hug him for 40 minutes?
