There must be a team out there willing to give up something of value for Oladipo...
That's probably the discussion right now.
"We want Knight."
"We want, Gordon"
"No, we will give you Oladipo"
"Don't want. Want Gordon"

I think that's a non-starter for Orlando. I think the value's right with Oladipo - he's just not a good fit here.

Yep. Thus no trade so far. If the Suns believe in Gordon, they should give up what they need to to get him. Knight, Kieff, and one of the Miami picks maybe.

Do you think he is a better fit than Knight? What about Bledsoe?
I think I would rather have him than either of those guys. And if he doesn't work out the next 1.5 years, you don't resign him when he rookie contract is up.
Olidapo is a really good player, just not a shooter and not an elite passer, he's a very small SF imo who's forced to play PG/SG. Reminds me of a smaller (better) PJ Tucker.
He'd fit in much better w/ the Cav's or a similar contender as a 2 off the bench who can come and disrupt the other team's scorers and provide some energy on offense for a bit, just not a player I would want to depend on for 35+ mins a game. I'll pass on Oladipo, he does not fit with the rebuild.
Oladipo's a suped up Tony Allen. He doesn't have a high ceiling as a scorer but can be an elite defender, slasher, transition guy. I thought he'd be a Skiles type of player but seems to have fallen out of favor.
He's not a PG, despite Orlando's efforts to coach him up as such his rookie year. It seemed more of a ploy to dump games while "developing" Oladipo. That said, I'm not sure I have any interest. We need to move two PGs, a SF, a PF and maybe a center. We don't need a SG.
I was talking to a Heat fan, and with Bosh possibly down for the rest of the year. He didn't want Markieff, but a Chandler and Tucker for Winslow and a 1st is good to him.
Also, I would do a Knight plus filler for Rubio.
That still allows the Suns to trade Markieff for some value by himself.

Depends on the first. Are they disappointed in Winslow in Miami? I would think he would be a building block for the future for them. Trading him for Chandler and Tucker would seem to be short sighted unless they want a pick for a draft do over.
Whoa! I just looked at Winslow's stats. His shooting numbers are horrible.

I'm surprised to hear that coming from a heat fan. I really like Winslow.
Chandler would be great on the Heat, especially next to Bosh, but that seems to be in question. Either way he'd be a huge lift for them, making a good to very good team potentially great.
The bigger issue for them is moving Whiteside before he leaves. They probably won't be able to afford to keep him, or be willing to spend to do so which is why his name has come up in talks with Houston. There are also maturity issues we may not want to be a part of.

Winslow+pick. For Chandler-PJ. Was you friend high ahhaha.
Agreed on Knight for Rubio. Trading Bledsoe would be imperative then. But I really like the idea of an elite passer feeding the kids and Chandler. Then again, what if we made such a big move and then the draft forces us to take Dunn? More problems.

I don't think they will be able to afford him, but they also can't get much for him since there are not bird rights. It only makes sense for them to just keep him through the rest of the year.

Rubio's shooting is so historically bad. His passing and D are good. Why can't a player be decent at all three? Bledsoe might have the possibility of doing so.
JCSunsfan wrote:Whoa! I just looked at Winslow's stats. His shooting numbers are horrible.
Only horrible from three-point range. He's shooting .258 behind the arc, yet is still attempting enough of them to kill his overall FG%. His 2P% is .500, which isn't especially good, but isn't horrible. His FT% is .717, which also isn't horrible.

Exactly.
Sometimes you need short-term plays during your long-term rebuild... at least, that's how I would think of the deal. I would love the deal if it means getting rid of Knight's contract.
