Game Day: Nets (15-42) @ Suns (14-43), Thurs 2/25/16
Re: Game Day: Nets (15-42) @ Suns (14-43), Thurs 2/25/16
Do we just not have the talent to compete or is it just a clusterf**k? Is Watson showing he can coach, adjust, draw up plays or is he just a cheerleader? Could he win with more talent? Are the guys playing harder? Playing better defense? Are there better schemes?

I was worried we'd win this one. The tank is still in pristine condition. Tell B. Knight to sit out the rest of the season and "recover." We've got something special going on here. We're about to show the 76ers what losing streaks really are. A starting lineup of Tucker, Price and Humphries will give us a real shot at not increasing our win total for the rest of the season. Have to root for the Lakers real hard now.
It sucks that Watson hates Leuer. Humphries has no business starting.

Suns now next-to-last in points allowed.
Last in opponents field goal percentage.
Next-to-last in turnovers.

Yes, its a shiny tank. Great treads...a little tiny pop gun of a main gun...treads that get stuck in loose dirt on a flat surface in dry weather...a powerful 1/4 HP motor to make that clicking sound as it tries to move its treads or rotate and position the gun before we get that pop as the cork comes out of the end...hey...its shiny...its new...its flaccid...but its a tank.

He's a 19-yr old with one year of college experience, and now he's the first option on offense in the NBA on a team with little ball movement and few scorers. He's getting double-teamed much of the time. Walter Davis would have struggled in a similar situation.
One observation EJ had last night is that Booker is rushing his shots and not setting himself because of the added pressure.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

My observations aren't trashing him, though scathing they may sound. When read through a pair of sarcastic glasses, it more adheres the notion that he's still a 19 year old and it's his first NBA season. This is to be expected. He's going to be a great player. I'm just not surprised to see his production dip the way it has lately. For all of the reasons you pointed out.LazarusLong wrote:AmareIsGod wrote:Like he's dragging ass and not used to the rigors of an NBA season.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:The last 10 games or so ol' Booker has looked pretty meh. What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

To add, when I was 19 years old, I was trying to shake my 14 year old Taylor Swift body. Nothing but love for Booker. I understand the rigors of life at that age.

Totally understand.
My hope is the kid doesn't get into bad habits and get down on himself. He's on a bad team, in a bad situation, with crummy management and inexperience coaching.

Agree. Welcome to NBA young fella. I feel bad. He seems like a good kid and is definitely talented.LazarusLong wrote:Totally understand.

This is an opportunity for businesses to advertise with the Suns.

I like, five guys. I really do--especially their fries.
So much so that they give me fryarrhea.
Lack of gall bladder probably contributes a bit to that one, though.
