I don't see any point in signing Budinger. Not what we need. Seems like just a "sign the U of A guy to make the fans happy" move.

Hey, at least it gives us another SF to play in addition to Tucker. I don't see any point in NOT signing him, either (what is there to lose?).

OE, that seems like just a really silly point you are trying to make to defend Ryan.

I don't know, 40+ minutes of Tucker is a lot.

Agreed. But you can't find a single guy in the D league that could contribute? I can't imagine Chase is still going to be on this roster after 20 games.

Also true. Chase is only one year older than Whiteside though, maybe he also blooms! :P

I think we're seeing if he can improve if his health gets better. Low risk move.

I don't understand how anyone can be upset about signing a slightly below average vet to a deal for the rest of the season. We have had enough D-League guys go through here. You can't expect our young guys to do well if we keep throwing them out on to the court with a bunch of zeros. We need vet role players to help support the young guys that matter.

Hell, maybe we're just doing his agent a favor. Who knows. Who cares? How can one agree OR disagree with this move? Should we have grabbed someone from the D-League? We've already given 5 D-League players a chance this season - Orlando Johnson, Jordan McRae, Phil Pressey, Corey Jefferson, Lorenzo Brown. Chase will be our second waiver claim of the season. Were all of these mistakes? Are all transactions to be assessed against hypothetical players? I'm not defending Ryan; what I'm saying is common sense.

It seems like a lot of people are mad at this team when they win, yet others are mad that the moves we're making won't help us win gamess this season. To even have any opinion other than "huh" on these things is irrational.

The end result of this season will be, no matter what we do from hear on out:
(1) Well THAT sure as hell was not fun to watch.
(2) Ding dong, Markieff is gone. We got a pick - the Wizards' pick!
(3) ******* injuries. Bledsoe (that's twice in three years), Brandon Knight (that's twice in two years), and TJ Warren (shoot me; I love TJ). Not looking good for Backcourt 2015!
(4) Damn look at how high that draft pick is! What the hell is a Dragan Bender?
(5) Whoa young fellas! Devin Booker was a steal. Alex Len is definitely not a bust, though
Spoiler: show/hide
And hey, Archie's way better than any of the D-Leaguers we brought in, not to mention Sonny Weems... and he's definitely better than Ben McLemore, so good on McD for taking Len ahead of that bum... at this point, you can basically count on the Kings to pick precisely the wrong player...
(6) Tyson Chandler is here. Huh. What a nice guy. Looks like he and Alex can share the court pretty effectively.
(7) We've made another stretch big (or two) some money this year. With a completely different roster, system and coach. Don't know what to make of that - maybe that it's good to have one around?
(8) A starting-caliber front court player would really improve this team.

Edit:

That's pretty much it. John Jenkins, Chase Budinger, DeJuan Blair, Anthony Bennett - none of these guys are gonna change the equation.

Yeah, really don't understand why fans are upset at this signing to finish out this loser year. We've got one active SF on the roster. Give the kid a chance. He's not going to change our fortunes one way or the other.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Maybe. But complaining about this move just seems like a silly point against Ryan. It's just bitching to bitch essentially. Who cares...IMO, he's better then Sonny.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Kinda like Childress. Thankfully McD wasn't stupid enough to give Weems the type of contract that Blanks gave Childress.

Yeah, and I don't know if "stupid" was the right word. More like "conflicted".
