Won't be at this one. Downtown is just too nuts right now with French Quarter Fest going on at the same time. I'd be in traffic for hours.

I could do a taxi but I think Uber is surge pricing. No way I'm taking a bus downtown. Plus you know.. can't really walk that far.Indy wrote:No public transportation?carey wrote:Won't be at this one. Yay, we're up by 10 riding the vets hard again. 4th place finish is a lock.

Could this have gone any worst? Ride a winning streak to end the yr to hurt our lottery chances and give management this false impression Watson has momentum. The Pelicans are fielding an NBDL team...
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

The 70-9 Warriors are @ Grizzlies right now. It's halftime and the score is 53-50 Ws. #LeaguePassAlert

Stephenson was fouled....hard. NBA Refs continue to be horrible. He was fouled by like 3 guys on that last shot attempt.

Archie had a big game, so it wasn't just Telly, Chandler, et. al.dragickingdom wrote:Yay, we're up by 10 riding the vets hard again. 4th place finish is a lock.
Booker was large in the first half, not as prominent in the second half.
Budinger and Leuer played significant minutes and contributed.
Big Al Williams had 2 blocks and 7 boards.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

Well, for one thing, he didn't play the fourth quarter. The Pelican announcers couldn't stop talking about Booker and how he doesn't back down from anybody.LazarusLong wrote:Booker was large in the first half, not as prominent in the second half.
Can't fault the players for wanting to win.

You can blame the stupid fucking management for allowing us to blow hard all year only to burn through Tucker Tele and Chandler. Fucking idiots. Should have shut them down two weeks ago or demanded we play Williams Leuer and JJ more.
These guys are fucking idiots. We beat the rockets too so the Wiz pick is probably going to be worse off because of that. I really hope Wiz win the lottery and we get F'd out of that pick too and it pushes our own draft pick back. Maybe 5 more years of sucking will get Sarver to sell.

Professional players want to win, its why they play. If our players didn't want to win, they wouldn't have a job. Sitting players just to tank sends the wrong message to everyone, your players and others around the league. We cant lose every game. It sucks we'll probably end up 4th worst, but thems the breaks.specialsauce wrote:You can blame the stupid fucking management for allowing us to blow hard all year only to burn through Tucker Tele and Chandler. Yeah, the Spurs really sent the wrong message when they tanked to get Duncan.
So did the Cavs and LeBron.
So did the Pelicans and Anthony Davis.
So did the Thunder and Durant.
I'm not in the business of messages. I'm in the business of winning. I couldn't care less how sour it made the current group of losers on our team

With the 4th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, the Phoenix Suns select...a future bench role player if they are even that lucky. What a season

I will not be surprised if we end up with the 5th pick. I've seen it happen too many times. Somebody will leapfrog us into the top 3 and we will pick 5th. God knows we can't have any lottery luck and move up into the top 3. The OGW will make sure that won't happen.

The Spurs did have real injuries. I think they tanked too, but they competed. They were still winning games in April of that year. Same with those other teams.specialsauce wrote:Yeah, the Spurs really sent the wrong message when they tanked to get Duncan.

The Sonics won 31 games the year they drafted Durant. They just got lottery lucky. They didn't tank well.
Those teams usually got hit by devastating injuries to a star player or more than one, so they shifted to developing younger players, they did not choose to put a horrible product on the court for three years straight. The Clippers did that in the 80's and 90's.
Hinkie is a whole new level of tanking.
