The Devil is in the details. Good looking out Gardino.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

34 points and 5 assists for Booker. Love this kid. Chriss was really impressive, too. He is much more NBA-ready than Bender, obviously. I opposed drafting him, but he's the one who is more likely to be a rotation player for us this year. I also liked those 8 big boards for TJ Warren.

Could it be that we actually have an enjoyable young team??

chriss should just focus right now on finishing plays, making his catch and shoots, and defending wing players like george and kawhi.

bender OTOH, should bulk up more. i envision him as PF/C.

chris SF/PF.

For reals, you guys. Watch Len in that highlight reel. Just pay attention to where he is on each play. He sets good screens. He follows Booker on the fast break, ready to grab the rebound if Booker misses. When Book drives, Len stays far enough from the basket to take a defender with him, but close enough to compete for a rebound.

Len is not a star, but he makes the team better. And he still has a lot of learning to do. I like the guy more than I did on draft night, and I hope we keep him and let him develop into that solid role player that he can be.
You are right, he is solid on backstage stuff. Hopefully, we are set for the future with Bender, Chriss and Len at the 4/5.

I just got my Booker away jersey last week. The kid has got it all!

It's ironic that this game was in Portland because watching these highlights (a big guard in pick n roll sets able to get in the paint or rise up mid range) the player who crossed my mind was Brandon Roy who was one of my fave players to watch 8-) . Didn't get to watch the game so not sure how Book is looking on D which will be key as teams are gonna definitely go at him to try tire him or get him in foul trouble once he is such a threat on O but glad to see the post work from the offseason is already evident :)

Didn't get to watch the game, loved the Booker highlights though, I am so glad he's on our team. How did Chriss look? Boxscore looks good, were his shots at the rim or midrange? Or a little of both? I've got high hopes for him.

Brandon Roy was my favorite 2 guard of this generation. I loved the way he would find a wrinkle and get open for a midrange shot.

Brandon Roy was a treat. It's too bad his health failed him.

Roy had more power that Booker. There is something about the way Booker moves that is unique. His feet leave and hit the floor soft, like a cat. Other players go up and land hard. Booker is just so smooth and effortless.

That was funny. It's interesting what they are saying. Why do they keep calling Devin, Trevor Booker, or did I miss something?

It's because the poster was confused. There's another guy in the league by the name of Trevor Booker. No relation.

Len needs to keep one arm up all times. What is he waiting for to drill it in? Useful nevertheless.

Knight makes some tough shots but he shouldn't have a whole offense almost to himsef. Mix him with Ulis as much as possible.

Barbosa still has it (he also did in his second tenure).

Scoring on Bender is hard. He guards well one on one and also a factor weak side.

Vonleh owned Chriss.

Booker owned everything.

If Watson is serious about defense being a priority, Bender has to get minutes. He cannot preach D and then not play it.
