Vlade Divac admitted today he had a better deal 2 days ago for Boogie.

What an idiot. Just stupid... this may be the worst haul for a current top 15-20 player ever. I don't know how the Boogie/Davis pairing will work, but the fact that sacramento trades him for nothing then admits they passed on better deals is just....ugh.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Come on now. This has to be a joke. My little sister is a better GM than that. Seriously.

Everybody knows that Vivec is to blame for most if not all of this but still Vlade needs to step down. His reputation as a GM has never been great but this must have been the final curtain. How can anyone take him seriously after that meltdown of a press conference.

I think he was making it known this wasn't his choice because he knows how bad it is. Sounds like it was Vivek who loves Hield.

Bill Simmons confirmed today that the reason the Kings didn't take the Suns deal was because the Suns were insistent on adding Tyson Chandler or Brandon Knight to the deal.

WOW.

Wow. Knight has cost us both the Lakers pick and now Cousins.

Stauskas!

Still Vlade could have been a little more diplomatic but I see what you say. It seems Vivec is worse than you know who.

WOW.
Kings probably wanted knight switched with bender or Chriss

I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal with Houston go down:

Brandon Knight for Corey Brewer/K.J. McDaniels/2 2nd rounders

Kind of reminds me when you nailed the Plumlee trade before it happened.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I could also see Houston using those 2nd rounders and McDaniels to land Nikola Mirotic.

I was thinking about Tyson in that kind of deal, not Knight. Tyson may be of some use if they want to shore up the 5 spot. He played well for MikeD in NY so there's some familiarity there. Would love to see Harrell come back in the deal but probably wouldn't happen.

I was thinking more Tucker for McDaniels.

(I'm not a McDaniels fan)

And any smart team would.

Why the hell would any team want Knight?

big picture mistake again for mcdo. you get rid of the young players that are not ready and surround him with guys like chandler, tucker and dudley/leandrhinho.

i dont have a problem playing chandler and boogie together. besides, i want tyson in the locker room with boogie around.

if it means having a backcourt of bledsoe, knight, booker at small forward, so be it.

Brutal if true that what prevented the Suns from acquiring Cousins was Chandler or Knight. You gotta make salaries work, but come on. Can't you just give away one of them to a third team or bribe someone with a protected pick? Hard to believe anyway.

Aside from our pick, not sure we have what it takes but I'd love to make a run at Paul George. If we wanted to try and make a run the next 2 years with Bleds, Booker and Tyson then PG13 should be a target. Bleds, PG and Tyson are all FAs after 18-19 so it actually works well in the short term. Not sure we'd be contenders but could make a nice run and then reset things. Our 1st, TJ, PJ and maybe Bender? Don't want to give up Bender or Chriss but I feel like we'd have to.
