Are you kidding? He can't even make it as a starter on the all-star team.

Good. I was really confused for a minute. What he is doing is so amazing to watch. I still cannot really believe that his season averages are what they are.

I do think that he's explicitly triple-double seeking, going out there and trying to get exactly 10 boards or assists so that he can keep his numbers alive. But whatever.

I think it would be great if more guys were trying to make an impact in multiple areas of the game each night.

That's fine, but there is a difference between wanting to win / make an impact, and fighting your own teammate for a rebound to get your 10th, or refusing to shoot at all because you have 9 assists and need 1 more.

I'd give MVP to Harden.
Precious Achiuwa, Dalano Banton, Batum, Chris Boucher, Amir Coffey, Tre Jones, Laravia, Mamukelashvili, Tre Mann, De'Anthony Melton, Minott, Nance, Chris Paul, GP2, T. Prince, Reed, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Tate, Watford, Yabusele

Don't think either would be the wrong choice. I would go Westbrook because he does it all while playing above average defense.

Guys fight each other for rebounds all the time. And I'm assuming you don't watch a ton of OKC games since you kind of hate them and all. Are you speaking out of experience by saying he avoids easy shots to try and get an assist?

Westbrook with he triple double is crazy. Just crazy. But Hardens numbers are crazy, too. In fact, they are very similar. RW gets 2.5 more rebounds and 2 more points, while JH gets one more assist and shoots a higher percentage.

The thing for me is that the Rockets just win a lot more. Well, that's because of all the other stars in Houston, right? I honestly had to stop and think to remember anyone else on that team. If I had to pick a team to build with Bledsoe instead of Westbrook or Harden, I would take OKC. I like Oladipo, and they are set at the 4/5.

So I've got to vote Harden.

I'm not going to be the guy that votes against the player averaging a triple double. It's 31/10/10 for Christ's sake.
Go Suns!

Gardino makes a great case for Harden, but I also agree with the other posts about the fact that Harden does little on the other end of the floor. Westbrook is a pretty decent defender in addition to his insane triple-double average. I think you have to give it to Westbrook if he averages 30/10/10 for a whole freaking season. Even if he narrowly misses it, I think it's still his award due to averaging a triple-double for most of the whole season along with being a plus defender.

He still has a chance to set the record for most triple doubles in a season (The [real] Big O) has 41. I think RW is at 30 right now. If he does that, I can't see how he doesn't win it.
