Been talking to Kings fans elsewhere... #13 + Knight + Tucker for Gay + #8? Take the guard at 4; grab Ellenson at 8.
There are about 4 bigs of similar prospects. One of them will be available at #13. Stay put. If we can swing a trade with the Lakers for #2, I would do that. Hoopshype is reporting that they will be shopping that pick for impact veterans. Bledsoe, Chandler, #4 for #2. I would do that. It cleans out the back court some and if Chandler wanted to walk, we would do it for him with no compensation.

Yes, all day every day.

Bledsoe/X
Booker/Murray
Gay/Warren
Ellenson(Chriss/Skal)/Y/Hernangomez
Chandler/Len

Seems like a better balanced team. We would still have a bit of money to spend. In this case I'd see them chasing Ryan Anderson (for better or likely worse,) and a backup PG (no clue who.) You can also slide Gay to 4 and run an interesting small lineup with Warren at SF.
Go Suns!

YOu know OE. I might do this. Not sure if Rudy Gay is what we want, but he is not a bad trade off for Tucker and Knight. And to move up. Yeah. I might be OK with it.

Ha! Dunn has already come out saying he doesn't want to play for Suns or Celts.

It's not like we are all clamoring for Dunn to come to play for the Suns. Heck, I wouldn't want to either if I was a combo guard. They already have 2 shoot first and second pgs, along with a rising star sg that's 3 years younger and better than him.

This was how the lottery was done the first couple of years it was implemented.

This makes me want to scream. But I'm the only person awake in my house and it would mean severe consequences to wake my kiddos at this hour on a school night. So I'm going to scream into the abyss of the interwebs.

Cluff must be behind it.

I can't wait to get our Westbrook, Paul, Bosh, or Mutumbo.

I was quite depressed with the 4th pick. My preference was 2nd, like everyone else probably, and failing that, 3rd would at least give us a chance at a more upside guy in Bender. After him, the next few top prospects are all guards and that hurts real bad. I have very little confidence in the front office right now, which is not to say that they definitely won't correct this situation by trading one or two of our current starting backcourt, but then I just don't have the confidence that they will do so.

I would definitely move Knight and 4 to get to 2. I don't know that I'd move Bledsoe for that though, and I guess Lakers may not have a lot of interest, given that they kind of have something similar in Lou Williams already, who doesn't turn the ball over nearly as much.

If I'm the Lakers, I'd rather get Ingram than Simmons. They already lack perimeter shooting in a big way and Simmons and Randle are just another minutes headache.

I have absolutely 0 interest in Ellenson at the 4th spot. Or really, any of those big prospects. I can deal with raw potential, but I can't deal with a lack of focus on the court.

Also read that Jaylen Brown completely dug himself a huge hole in the combine's interview sessions by being completely delusional.

If it looks like they're likely to draft Simmons, would anyone consider a deal with the Lakers involving Randle for #4?

What a fucker. These players should realize that they're privileged to get to play for any NBA team. I think the NBA should fine players (or agents) who say things like this. It's really bad for the league if a team doesn't feel comfortable picking the player they want to pick.

For me Knight has to be on the block due to his 'not willing to change role' stance at the end of the season.
So any combination of a pick and Knight to move up to 1 or 2 is definitely worth the phone calls and time.
Chandler wants to move on as well so I think there is much to be explored.
Such a shame this draft is not a strong or deep one.

I don't at all like what Goran did as he was on his way out; talking trash about our team and also possibly doing backdoor negotiating with Miami to trade for him. That's not okay. The reasons I'm not as mad at Goran are:

- he was a great player and good soldier for us for years before that
- he had a bit of reason to be upset, since the team reduced his role and made him feel useless on the team

The above points don't make what he did okay. But it all adds up into the overall equation of how I feel about him. I like the guy, and I'm sad it didn't work here for him. I wish we had treated him better and that he were still here now, instead of the current starting guards we have.

That sums up about how I feel too.

I would add that he was also coming from a career year and was in his contract year, so it's not hard to see why he was pissed. In the end I think that mess worked out well for both sides.
As for rookies I don't think it's a problem they express their wishes. It's up to the teams to be a desirable workplace.

Except the part that's not desirable is the number of guards and point guards. Doesn't mean that can't change before or after the draft.
